Marriage post
You know it seems the trend lately on the boards I post at that marriage issues and or divorces are running rampant. This is a vent about those situations (no one else)
Seems everyone is having problems with their husband. He is an insensitive jerk, cheating with some girl, just decided he doesn't want to be married anymore etc etc.
In one way it makes me realize how wonderful my husband is. But then again maybe he is just a rareity in this "modern" age I suppose... a REAL man.
I let him know that he is a wonderful husband and that I lucked out marrying him... He says he lucked out with me... there are days though I wonder if that is true hehehe...
I just get so sick hearing all of these problems. Not that I am irritated they are talking about it BUT.... That there is so much of this stuff going on. So many people wanting to just throw in the towel because things are a little rocky... true some of the spouses are true pricks and should have never been given the chance in the first place but still....
Why are people so hesitant to work on their marriages and would rather just give up? A lot of where the term "starter marriage" comes from. I really dislike that term too I was reading one of my magazines the other day and that term was used in the tips to a good marriage section (OH MY GOODNESS!!). Is that what society has come to. Everyone needs a "starter marriage"??? I know things do not always work out. I do not have rose colored glasses. But is nothing worth WORKING for anymore?
UGH anyway I am glad to be in the marriage that I am in. He respects me. He is a good man. He is a good family man a good father, a great friend and companion..............
