My Thanksgiving etc
Anyway things went better with my mother here. I think since DS#1 was gone she had no choice but to associate with DS#2 LOL He actually didn't cry about how she treated him the whole time she was here! I was happy!!! (and so was he)
She bought me; well actually the whole family, a washer and dryer. She said it is our Christmas/baby present for the family. It is the Kenmore HE4. The high effeciencey front loading state of the art type machines. Super capacity etc. As little man says... super cheez-wiz. They will be delivered on the 6th!! Now to sell our old pair LOL
Lets see we went out today to cut down our christmas tree :) Nothing like $7.00 for an 8 foot noble fir! lol
It was fun the boys enjoyed cutting down the tree and yelling Timber the whole nine yards. Now it is up here making our little living room look even smaller hehehe. But it smells GREAT.
Oh Baby G got his first pacakge! It was from his Great Aunt. She made him a blanket! Awesome blanket bright vibrant colors. I know he will love it :)

26 weeks today AND
Well our meal is finally about cooked. Sad thing is I did MOST of the prep work and made most of the other stuff last night.... dang Turkey we took it out on Monday and stuck it in the fridge in the garage. Well I am thinking that fridge is working overtime LOL it was NOT thawed this morning!! So we got the bird in late... Made for a long day. Glad we do not have a TON of family here to have to entertain while it takes forever heheh
My mother is up here for Thanksgiving. Just hope I made enough of the food to her liking and she can eat some of it.
As for me..... No real updates or complaints to be honest. Things are plugging right along. Little guy is pretty strong. Kicks are hard at times. He has hit a rib or two already. LORD help me in a couple of months!!! I am officially in the DOUBLE digits! 98 days until my actual due date. WHEN I will have him ?? that is a different thing all together hehe .
We are all looking forward to this little guy! DH pretends he is all macho but he is such a softie. And what would I do without him??? He has been my saving grace this pregnancy!!! He helps me out more than even he knows. He does little things that make my day...heck who am I kidding?? my WEEK. I just hope he realizes how much he is loved and appreciated.
Tomorrow my LOVING husband is braving the Black Friday crowds. He is getting mountain bikes for us! WOW huh??? I am going with my mother to brave the crowds at Sears or is it K-Searmart now??? Anyway I am getting the biggest gift I whink I have ever got (of course aside from family ;) ) My mother is going to buy the washer and dryer for us!!! OMG I am soooooo going to save up my laundry to use the heck out of it LOL
Oh baby names... we have it figured out!!! We are NOT telling so don't ask LOL. BUT we have learned of other family traditions that we will HAVE to follow. I have resigned myself to having all boys. Not a problem though ;)
So we KNOW what the next two names will be to follow in family traditions.
OK my thermometer say the bird is done. Time to take him out to rest and pop in the other items ;)

Sleeping patterns
Anyway I am done with my batch of pumpkin butter (Yummy) . I am headed off to lay down and watch Law and Order CI....yes I am a Law and Order junkie hehehe
the GTT results
I found out, my grandmother who was a petite woman, carried 7 children. All of them NOT weighing under 9 pounds!!!! This was in the 1940's-50's! Can you imagine? hehehe My mom a very small framed woman carried me and I was 10 pounds. My mom inherited the large baby gene and I inherited it from her.
Good news. Last night for the first time both dh and Little Man got to feel the baby kick!! Baby G is such a stubborn baby :)
The way the timing is looking dh will be gone for a week or two before my induction and then be able to take 2 weeks off and then leave for a week or two after. BUT the good news he will be here for the birth and for the adjustment time at home. His leave papers are already in :) Dated from "the time of delivery" and then two weeks following hehe.

Doc appointment today
I was also sent over for the first of my glucose screenings. Got the orange stuff. Not too bad soda with extra sugar and an aftertaste of shoe sole LOL OK so that last aftertaste part I could REALLY do without hehehe. Plus the fact that you have to chug that stuff. No sipping BLECH. That in itself made me sick to my stomach.
So they did the GTT and a CBC to double check for anemia etc.
I go back in 3 weeks. I will have another GTT more than likely then BLECH!!!! They insist I must have GD because my babies are larger. I always end up just fine. Pretty sure this time will be the same also :)
Little guy's heartrate was 135 this time around.
Oh and I got a note from my OB stating that I AM pregnant. Sounds silly doesn't it? Well I need the note to get my flu shot at the end of the month :) As if you couldn't tell I am from looking at me.

The latest story. A mother and father passed out in their car with their 1 month old. Car running and passed out drunk in a parking lot. They awake long enough to drive to the lots driveway and pass out again!! Drunk and on Crack. More crack found in the car.
Heck as I am typing this on the news comes the latest an 8 month old and a 2.5 year old left at home alone. Police were called because of a screaming baby. What in the heck are these people thinking??? can anyone fill me in??

Today things
I am getting ready for Thanksgiving. Got everything I need (I think) I am canning some pumpkin and putting it aside for pies. I got some free pumpkins again from our local produce stand (I call it the after Halloween special hehe).
I have a friend that I am concerned about. She is going through a lot right now and I just wish she were closer so I could be there for her more.
I also contacted a friend from high school After picking our favorite boy G names we realized that her father has the same name as our top pick (right now). I wanted to make sure she was OK if we named our child that. I really didn't want to offened her at all. She has no problem with it (phew) aand thinks it is a name that is due for a revival LOL. That is a load off!!
I have my next appointment the 18th. We will go over what the university said about the ultrasound. They have already told me though so it will be a review. Talk about the Glucose screening, Baby G's size and all that :)
O.K. I am off to finish up canning this pumpkin and I am off to bed. I could kick myself for starting this so late UGH

24 week update
I am doing well. Feeling GREAT. Moving a little slower but that is OK.
Baby G is moving around a lot. He kicks in spurts... moves around a lot and then takes a break for a bit. No real schedule as of yet though. He is active EARLY in the morning... (around 4-5) and really active when I finally lay down in bed to rest. The rest of the day is sort of up in the air and he does what he wants. He is still very stubborn. He can be moving around a lot and then someone touches my belly to feel him...and he stops! Little stubborn but haha :)
I got a couple of CD's. Baby Mozart and classical lulabyes. I had something similar when I was pregnant with Little G and he liked the music even after he was born. Yes I actually put the headphones on my belly haha.
Today we are headed to get out pictures done. This is of course after the boys get haircuts and all. Just hoping everyone can coordinate. The photographer will have to have the patience of a saint. Kids and dogs...getting everyone in the same direction is like nailing Jell-O to a tree.
Well I am off to finish up some laundry (will that ever stop? I know I know after the little one it will triple hehe) and talk the fire into getting going a bit better.

Party's and pictures.
This Friday we are getting pictures done. Well mainly the boys and the dogs. I am thinking that maybe I can get a casual shot in there with the boys and my pregnant self. Something relaxed and not overly posed or anything :)
OK that is it for the day :)
well
My aunt in law (ok that is funny) Offered to come help out when I have the baby. I was totally taken aback! That was one of the nicest things. Totally unexpected and greatly appreciated.
DH is back at his office today. He will be checking into baby leave. We KNOW he has the leave time on the books. BUT a matter of what he is on the books to do. And where he will be needed. Which is why we are checking into this now and not waiting. This little guy will be here in Feb... It is closer than I would like to think lol
My mother. Well something happened lol. She offered to buy us a family baby gift. A set of those high effeciency, super capacity front loading washer dryer sets. When she was up here visiting, she saw how I was doing laundry and apparently it reminded her of when she was just getting started. MANY smaller loads. She says this will help out. OK.... Talk about being thrown for a loop!! IF I get them I will be amazed.... happy too lol love to be able to cut back on time doing laundry. She will be up here for Thanksgiving. We are apparently hitting the Black Friday sales to get the set.
I had to decline on a wedding invite for DH's cousin :( I wanted to go but I got the big ol' too late in your pregnancy to fly/travel that far speech. So I have to send our regrets.
Oh!!! One of my friends up here. She said she wants to throw me a baby shower!!! So I think we decided on the first week in January. I had a shower with my oldest. It was needed. A single mom at 19... I needed all the help I could get. My second. Well a girl at dh's command then threw a shower for EVERY other expectant mom except me LOL. She was really uncomfortable when I accepted the invites to the others showers ;)
I am looking forward to this shower. Surrounded by good friends what could be better? :)
I keep thinking dh will not be home tonight. I think all this time just having a husband a day or two a week is wearing on me a little lol. I guess I should get SOMETHING out for dinner. Last night I couldn't find ANYTHING that appealed to me. So I had a banana and went to sleep.
Poor hubby.... The other day I wanted pineapple. The fresh one I got was bad once it was cut into. So I had thought I bought a can of pineapple slices. Instead I bought two cans of pineapple chunks. But could I eat the chunks??? NOOOOOO I only wanted the rings. Was there any logic behind that? nope. Geesh the pregnant mind is a tricky beast.

23 weeks and one day ;) Today
Things are progressing well. Little Baby G is moving around a lot. He has a couple of quiet days and makes up for it the next day. He is REALLY active at night when I am laying down getting ready for bed. Of course he like to kick the bladder too so I am up a few times before I can get to sleep hehehe. You can actually see his kicks now. Kind of neat to look at. Dh should get a kick out of it now that he is home to see it... or will be.
DS#2 said he has the perfect name for the baby lol. He says "Gunnar mom. That is a good G name I like it." Well at least it wasn't Goldfish or something lol. I think I already have my favorite. But not sure what hubby's opinion is. He is sort of on the fence like I am.
I finally look pregnant and not just very fat LOL I am all belly right now. Oh the good news!!! I have been gaining weight!!!
I have lost so much weight and then started to gain very slowly. I am finally Almost on the Graph!! The weight gain graph. I have been under baseline....well I still am but I am closer to baseline! So Once I hit the baseline, I will not have to see a dietician every month.
Well that is about it. Going through a sort of cleaning frezy here. In spurts though. Only so much energy to go around lol.
Until next time!
Today I will
I had a jam packed day yesterday and today... well I am off to volunteer in DS#1's classroom. From there out to lunch with some gals from up here. Then hopefully home in time enough to clean up the house for DH to get home.
OK I am off of here I am SERIOUSLY running behind!

This song
Thirty one and six foot even,
She still looks at me and sees
Her wide eyed boy, six years old
Reachin' for her hand to hold
She still tells me, "Wipe your feet, son,
Wash your hands, It's time to eat", yeah
She believes she's heaven-sent to protect
my long lost innocence
chorus:
What she sees in me is nothing but the best
In her eyes I'll never be anything less
With a love strong enough to forgive the rest
If only I could always be what she sees in me
This ain't the paradise I promised her, it's just a slice
Of life with an average man, honest work with calloused hands
And it bothers me I can't deliver all the things I swore I'd give her
She looks into my eyes like life with me is some kind of prize
Repeat Chorus:
Three years old and two foot four, each day
When I walk through the door
She runs to me and holds me tight
And in her eyes there shines a light
That reaches to the deepest part of all that's good inside my heart
The places that are kind and true, and I know I must live up to
Repeat Chorus:

I VOTED
Felt great to get in there and vote. Even though I feel like tar... it still felt great to vote ;) I did my part as a US Citizen. My civic duty :) Heck even little baby boy G was kicking as I was standing there voting. Maybe a future president? after his brother of course :)
Now the political ads can be gone lol I am so tired of them. Professional attacks and mud slinging.
I am not looking forward to the so-called unbiased medias reaction to this presidential election. Either way it pans out it will be irritating.
Today
So I am on my way out to vote. Then I will be going to sleep for the afternoon. I had to cancel on volunteering for DS#2's class like usual. I just do not feel good enough. I figure one day of rest and I will be good to go again.
OK so I am off. I am making my vote count!

After going to where I was told to go (yes I always make sure I ask diections lol).... being told go go back upstairs, get up there wait in the front of the line for 10 minutes to be called to the desk....only to be told to go back downstairs!!! UGH They had my last name starting with a N geesh I hate it when people do that...
They finally got me in and apologized for giving me the runaround. She asked if I knew why I was there... And wanted to make sure I understood what she was going to do.
I got on the table and she put the wand on my belly and IMMEDIATELY said "there is the nuchal fold, that is in question and it looks normal. Looks GREAT"
They did however go through an entire in depth ultrasound. We are definitely having a boy lol so no more doubt for me LOL.
She looked at the brain, spine, bladder, kidneys, stomach, arm and leg bones, hands, feet, umbilical cord, lip, nose yeah everything.Everything looks great. Perfectly normal.
He is still measuring big. But we expect that.
I got to see my little guy sucking his thumb, swallowing, opening and closing his hands & waving fingers SO cool!!!! The cyst I had is still there but has shrunk to a miniscule size The hemorrhage has seemed to reasorb.
The genetic counselor said there is nothing in the ultrasound that says I am at any increased risk for a choromosomal abnormality with this little guy. None at all.
Thank you all for the prayers. I am feeling SO much better now. Just knowing... all I wanted
