doctor dilema
Took DS#3 in for his 9 month check up yesterday ... all was great. That is until I asked for a refill on my prenatal vitamins since I am still breastfeeding. The nurse does some typing and says "hmm" Never a good thing to hear I tell ya LOL
Turns out I have a new doctor. A doctor I have never heard of. A civillian doctor at some other practice.
Go to figure it out. Go and talk to the oh so helpful people at the service center. We have been changed ALL of us. Without my ever knowing. Our doctor went to Iraq for 6 months. And instead of reassigning us to another doctor in clinic they decided we lived SO FAR from base that we could no loger be seen at the clinic. We moved to a town 4 miles from where we lived! So after a little back and forth with these folks I give up.
OK no biggie but my oldest has a handul of health problems I get VERY TIRED of having to go over with every new doctor. Now I have to start over WITHOUT his records on site
AND to add the cherry to the top of my day. The referral that was just entered that day to test DS#3's hearing (as a precautionary because of DS#1) is not valid beacuse the clinic is not our primary care doctors. AAAAAANNNNDDD the referral I have been expecting, and have not got, in the mail for DS#1 to see a pediatric neurologist is ALSO invalid. I will never get it because the referral can not be entered by a doctor NOT our primary care practice. Do I get notice they rejected the referral?
So here we are having to start over AGAIN with a new doctor, new practice and get new referrals etc. So they,(our insurance) are costing themselves a nice bit of money as we ALL go in next week to be seen by the new doctor. I have to make an appointment JUST to get prenatal vitamins! lol
to top it all off We could have stayed with the clinic... after dh's call to our insurance. We have to sign a statement that we are willing to make the drive. The helpful service folks didn't seem to know that...hmmmm
Good news, this doctor is just off the Island so really close. But lets see if she will impress me at all. If she is not someone I trust... we are in the market for a doctor AGAIN
I miss my dr. Dangit!
Let me add... I was told I will get notice of the change in 4-6 WEEKS! LOL that makes a ton of sense why not notify prior to the change?
