After showing many signs he was ready....we gave Grady his first food today!

Green beans! I got a ton of food from one of DH's co-workers. The Natures Recipe first foods so I figured what the heck, even though I normally make my own baby food. He ate about 1/4 of the little jar and he liked it! I nursed him before feeding him and after his food settles I will nurse him again

So our adventures in solids has begun!

Came home today asking if I was upset with him for not making E7. I know he did his very best, why in the world would I be mad at him?

He has his plans for what to do to make it next time. Senior Chief is helping him and going to point out where and how to make improvements.

He also mentioned FINALLY doing what I have been after him to finish since we have been married... HIS DEGREE!!! I mean the man is not far off literally a couple of pre reqs and he is done.

Oh well just hope he DOES the things he says he needs to do. I know he is great at his job and knowledgeable in his field. But like me, he needs a little help in his follow through.

are out and DH did not make it. No biggie really his rating is HARD to advance in and it was only his first time up

My 2 older boys made the paper with their Great-Grandpa!! The picture is a year old though. My aunt just sent me the article.

Now I just need to get my hands on a copy of that paper!

I am getting tired of waiting. We got the NEX ad in the mail today it had the Congrats CPO selectees section.
I just want to know one way or another if dh made it so I can move on.

It isn't skin cancer. To be honest there is no real bad news. Well my smart assed dr says to me "It is something that happens when you start to get old". Can you believe that?!?! LOL There is a technical name for the lump but Lord help me I cannot remember now.
I did have two spots on my arm frozen. I am glad the scare is gone though. I was not that cautious in the past in he sun.

I think I mentioned it before. A friend of my is adopting a girl. She is such a beautiful young lady and I see a very bright future for this little girl.

I have been putting together a package for her and today I found an ADORABE Navy cheerleader outfit! OK OK I can hear it now... OMG how girly! Yeah yeah I have all boys. I NEED to do the girly thing occasionaly! I am thinking she will like it :) It will go great with the other little things.

Why am I showering this little girl with gifts? Because it is just like any other new addition ...they NEED to be celebrated. She needs something where when she looks back at it in a few years she will say I remember this, it was around the time I moved in with my Mom. Just somethings she can associate JOY and HAPPINESS with. A bright future with MANY MANY possibilities. I have never met her but I am bursting with joy for her. Sigh... OK call me pathetic if you need to LOL

It is still about a month off until he starts eating solid foods. But now he can sit up at the table with the family while we eat. Of course now I do not have to do a juggling act either hehehe And the best part. With our Babies R us gift card... it cost me a whole $3 !!!!

Grady is such a joy he really is. But he warms my heart in such a special way. I love him so very much. Yes each of my little men hold a VERY special place in my heart. But right now this is about mini man.
I love the way he is always THRILLED to see me! I can walk into a room after being gone 5 seconds and he smiles so wide ear to ear and just lights up the room with his smile!
I honestly melt each and every time he looks at me like that. He honestly LOVES me. There is no hatred in his world, no fear, no sadness, just pure joy and love. We feed off of each other with that too. His joy and love... I swear I can feel it swell in me... it warms me. How corny does that sound? But seriously It is amazing how GOOD he makes me feel. Like nothing in the world can get me down you know? He is so special to me in so many ways, after wanting him for so many years and fighting so hard to get him... here he is and I talk about what he does for me! I am so happy I swear I almost cry!
And his laugh. Oh his laugh it is so wonderful. It is just so innocent.
I had to post this just because I just walked into the room where he was sleeping, he opened his eyes lifted his head and then gave me his widest open mouthed toothless grin.
I am TRULY blessed and I am so thankful. I am truly rich ;)

A pie is in the works. But then I saw a recipe for ICE CREAM!!!!!
OMG DH so has to go out and get an ice cream maker!

The baby I think he can smell traffic and it makes him cry lol. A 12 hour road trip besides minor fussing for feedings he did GREAT except for traffic!! He would wail and send himself into sobs! poor thing :(

We went down to CA to visit with the in laws. I wish we could have got in a trip down to the Bay Area to see more family I just couldn't though. I will soon.

I know I m rare BUT I love my mother in law. Hahaha yeah no horror stories here. I like her she is easy to get along with and does not but in etc. She was just giddy over the boys...though again she didn't get to see my oldest.

I also saw my sister in law for the first time in oh... almost 7 years. She seems to be really happy with things in her life; and I am happy for her.
Her boyfriend (i guess that is what I call him??) He is a kick. It was nice to meet him also.

Now on to my mothers place... Honestly if anyone watches Clean sweep....well her house is a candidite for that show. She has SO MUCH stuff she honestly needs to purge a lot of it. She knows this and yet while we were there she bought more things... I do not get it... BUT the good thing. We got my oldests bedroom set from her place and it is now all put together up in his room. He is going to be SO happy. I also offered to get her house in order for her if she would just figure out where she wants things... for Pete's sake (as Little man would say... who is Pete? Is he someone I should know about?) a year after her move she is still living among boxes.

Lets see oh... I feel like one of those Springer guests who drop kids and then leave them with whoever. I have one child in CA one in OR and one in WA! lol DS#2 is visiting my mother.... though he did open her fridge and exclaim "how does she eat?" He was a bit in awe of the lack of edibles lol But he has fun with her and I think the kids need to spend some time with their grandparents too
