Gina's Ramblings

I just need some dang sleep that is all. OK the last week the MOST sleep I got was 5 hours one night. All I want/need is some sleep. I would like for one night for my DEAR husband no not snore so loud hs rattles the walls, one night where I am not head on the pillow asleep for 2 minutes and then awaken by a baby crying, dog wanting out or strange noise.

I am seriously on the verge of tears due to lack of sleep some moments.

A dear friend of mine could use a bit of a 'hand up'. I HATE to see a friend in such pain and no dental coverage... my heart is breaking for her and as I told her the other day I heart her.

Well DS#2 may be allergic to milk like his daddy is. GRRR
I will be taking him to the dr tomorrow and hopefully we will get some allergy testing and know what we are dealing with.

My boys LOVE their baby brother so much is just so heartwarming to me. It is however funny to listen to them bicker about who gets to hold him or play with him LOL

DH and DS#1 are at PAX it is just me and the younger 2 boys. I have cleaned rabbit cages (dh will be delighted!), done laundry, diapers, taken down the co-sleeper.....oh so bittersweet. I have cleaned the living room, and unloaded the dishwasher (still have dishes to do though) I am thinking of baking some cookies......

But I will admit I miss them. Weekends are family time. But they need daddy/son time.

I got the camera I wanted!! Of course DH is just so adorable and cannot have a gift and not give it to me. So instead of for our anniversary I got it last night ;)

My Dear son Gary III-

1.He was born in the high desert in California
2. It was over 120 degrees the day he was born
3. he was born a month early
4. He weighed 9 pounds 4 ounces
5. He is quite smart
6. we joke he will be either a used car salesman or the President of the United States
7. he is very charismatic
8. He now wants to be a veterinarian
9. However he has not yet "decided on his specialty"
10. He is the third.... so he shares his name with his father and grandfather
11. Once someone asked him his name. He recited his FULL name When he was then asked how long he had that name he stopped...thought a second and said "It is old; I got it used".
12. He started walking at about 12 months old
13. When he crawled... he crawled on his elbows... **envision an Army combat crawl**
14. He rarely talked as a young child because his brother was always talking for him.
15. He was born with red hair, it turned blonde and is still blonde...with red HAHA
16. His funniest joke I can remember is how he said when he gets married and has a son, he will name him Gary IV And then change his own name to Mike
17. he is a perfectionist when it comes to MANY things
18. He is also quite absent minded
19. He wears glasses like his dad
20. He has only lost 2 teeth at age 7
21. He has a Rabbit named Snuggles aka EVIL bunny
22. He once had a guinea pig. She died. And he was there petting her and comforting her in her last moments
23. he LOVES being a big brother
24. He is good at math
25. He USED to be a morning person....
26. He looks amazingly like his father
27. His baby brother is a carbon copy of him as a baby
28. He likes living in Washington
29. He dislikes being his age... too small for BIG boy stuff and too big for the little kid stuff
30. His bed reminds me of the princess and the pea (it is TALL)

40. He once said he has to grow up and get a vey good job so he can take care of his OLDER brother when he gets older.
41. I still cannot believe he will be in the Second grade this fall

43. Not a day goes by that he doesn't say he loves me.
45. He has peed on the Continental divide!
46. He loves roadtrips and seeing new things
47. He thinks it is unfair that we have Sonic commercials played here on tv yet they have no Sonics in the State of WA (I agree)
48. He loves amusement parks and is going to try to earn a season pass for a local park (by getting good grades)
49. He loves his older brother and looks up to him a lot
50. I hope... no... I know he will do well in life and I hope he finds love and happiness

Never really updated my drama bs post.
All is fine nothing wrong with anyone. And things all worked out the way they should have I suppose.

After only 3 hours of sleep (thanks to dh lol who woke me up at the buttcrack of dawn) I am up and around tackling laundry and vacuuming. 10 am the pups go in to be boarded. I think I will be more worried about them than anything else.

Our boys are excited and I am surprised they are not already up. I am excited because this is FINALLY a trip to take with DS#1. He is normally gone for all of our vacations. So we planned for this one later in the year.

Anywhoooo I will be back in a couple of days with an annoying amount of pictures and probably a fun story or three hehehe

I know I know you are thinking whatever will we do without Gina's wit and daily ramblings to sustain me??? It is ok... I promise you will be alright....one day at a time hehehehe

I was standing in the card isle looking at all of the sympathy cards. Reading them one by one and almost in tears. There was just no card that came close to saying I am sorry you lost your child. My aunt lost her son. How do you even begin to hope to console her? None of those cards seemed right none seemed to say enough. I picked one card though I was/am not happy with it.

Watching talk shows , ok admittedly one of my guilty pleasures. I love the drama... but I also tend to get angry at some people on the shows LOL
Like now This one "woman" gave up on the search for the father of one of her children...and is now focusing on the next child it could be... one of 8 possible fathers!

My dear son Alex..... ( I did 100 things about me... figured a 50 things about my children would be interesting too and 50 only because of my schedule LOL)
1. He is left handed
2. he is VERY smart
3. He is going to be in band this year
4. He is extremely sensitive
5. he loves to read
6. he loves math (something I am not good at)
7. He does not like fish; but will eat tuna
8. He loves to ride his mountain bike
9. He can sleep a good 12-14 hours at a stretch
10. He LOVES to play Magic the Gathering (anyone want to send him cards? hehe)

Hoping I can sleep if I just spew some of this out...without being too specific.

I am happy- LOVE my family. Things are coming along so well. I mean all the ducks are getting in a row and quacking happily. I think well thought I knew what I wanted for the future... I think I still might. Now the whole OMG did I?? is going through my head. If I get what I wanted now what (if anything) am I sacrificing? Will I have to cut corners I did not want to cut? I know I will work my arse off to make things work out no matter what.
Got a bunch of am I strong enough etc stuff going through my brain. All for probably nothing BUT I am sooo playing the what if card... hell the what if DECK of cards lol. Internet research to other OCD for info type things lol

Trying to reach the ' let it flow; let it happen' stage. HAHA key word trying. I know I have support, and friends and good company... that should be enough to help me right?

My oldest is home!!!! He is thrille to be home and I am thrilled to have him home

We didn't get that other dog. Our dogs didn't get along with him

and on another front.... going to wait a couple of days and will hopefully know what is going on

Well these DVD's are a hit here. We have the Mozart and the Galileo and Grady is just enthralled with them

Ok So I am more of a ...hmmmmm.... earthy mom than I thought. Breastfeeding (which I can successfully do while playing online hehe),co-sleeping, baby wearing and cloth diapering. All of which... very inexpensive with the exception of Cloth diapering. The initial cost is a bit of a pain. I do not know what I would do without these moms groups that I am getting the diapers at a lower price.
I could not afford to do this otherwise!
And hey the good news is this.... dh has said that to get our moneys worth from these diapers... we need to have another baby lol. Seriously though I think he likes cloth diapering also.

Hubby springs this one on me today. "honey do you HAVE to go to a Catholic church?"
I always say our marriage started out like a really bad joke "So a Catholic married a Baptist...." hahaha
Dh would like us to try churches until we find the right fit for us. He has his mind set up that he will not mesh with Catholicism.
He said he wants to spin the wheel of religion and see what works for us. Which is where the game show reference comes in. I just envisioned "Wheel... of.... Religion....." Spin the wheel, Audience full of different religions... priests there cheering, the Pope in his bullet proof Pope guest box, Pastors, Rabbi's .....All Cheering... shouting come on Catholic... then a shout of Methodist!!! (Oh and yeah I am so going to hell lol) And Vanna in her Habbit Oh man....

I think I have talked him into at least talking to a priest and maybe going to ONE mass before he makes up his mind.

He thinks we should go to church regularly as a family. I agree.... but will we ever find a middle ground when it comes to religion?? How much should I compromise? Would I be compromising my beliefs if I converted? Would I be if I went to a non denominational church? How important is being Catholic to me?

It has gotten to the point that I am not allowing my sons friends on our trampoline. Why?? because I am mean? Nope I am afraid of a LAWSUIT! A neighbor wrote me a note saying she says it is ok for her son to jump on it and will not hold me responsible for any injuries! What happened to the way of life when I was a kid? I swear it is amazing I am still alive with some of the stunts I pulled! Yet it never crossed our minds to sue anyone...

That the same people who say... "I do not mind breastfeeding as long as they do it discreetly" are the same ones that are ok with wearing revealing clothes or not saying anything about those who show ther breasts in a sexual nature.

The breast is not solely a sexual object. The breasts were not put on my body to JUST please a man. They are ther first to nurish my child. But of course you can say what you want about a mom breastfeeding a child because it is just so wrong... and yet who cares about the hoochies leaving nothing to the imagination.

Is society that bass ackwards? How can people be so Puritanic about one thing and so liberal about another "Don't you dare breastfeed in public unless you sequester yourself to your car, the corner but be covered!! or better yet do that in the bathroom" and in the nextbreath..." did you see the bodacious tatas on her?" haha. Are people that off? that sexually skewed?
