It is weird
We have had months of tension. Waiting to hear if DH made E7. Lots of anxiety leading up to it. Not knowing where it may take us, would we have to move? sell the house? Then BAM it is over he didn't make it and things are back to 'normal'.
This must be what thrill seekers go through the WOOHOOO of the build up and then the letdown and back to nothing when it is over. Le Sigh
That is OK next year we do it all over again!! hahaha

That is why my dad finally decided to retire from the Air Force. No matter how much he tried he was never able to make E7. He just decided enough was enough and after 20 years, walked away.
I hope that things work out the way you want them to!
