First my unsolicted plug for my most favorite butcher shop EVER ;)
Silvana Meats. We have a butcher shop closer BUT I love the customer service SO much better at Silvana. Well Grady and I went in, they gave him his favorite jalepeno meat stick. I told you they spoil him. I also ordered our turkey for Thanksgiving. It is am AWESOME tasting turkey, organic free range and all that. But I think it is also the freshness that cinches it! I ordered a pig too. No not some bacon or a roast a WHOLE pig! lol They cut and wrap to my specifications and may I add some of the BEST sausage and bacon I have ever had. I normaly order 1/2 pig now we are ordering a whole. I will be moving up to a half a cow next year instead of a 1/4 too. Growing boys, adding to the family= me having to be more prepared. I also have to buy a new big freezer. That is on my wish list and I should be able to get it while hubby is gone, we will see though. The one I want is $800! yeowch.
THIS is the one I want. The last freezer we bought that is still VERY functional was when DH and I got married haha. It was bought with a giftcard from Sears we got for a wedding gift. But it was perfect for the family of 3-4 we had at the time. Now we are 5 and soon growing (we hope).
I have to go out to the fruit stand today. I forgot Carrots yesterday! wah! I need them for my blask eyed pea and sausage soup. I think I will make some parmesean rolls too. Simple yeast rolls with some add ins. YUMMY homemade goodness :p
Our TSP (military's 401K) loan is paid off. Woohoo
Hmm lets see, what else? Not too much to be honest. I know there was something else I wanted to write but I have been interrupted umpteen times while trying to write this so I forgot haha
