Caffiene and insomnia

Ok we all know that caffiene can lead to insomnia right? Well I gave up sodas (at home) and caffiene about 3 weeks ago. The past two weeks... I have been having SO much trouble sleeping. Honestly for example TWO Unisom later I am STILL wide eyed!
Last night two sleeping pills, read a book took a hot bath, still up until 3 am!!!!!! Then I was up at 6 am!!! I did go back to sleep at 6:40 am until 7:30 So lets do some rough addition here... I slept, 4 total hours. And I was not sleeping soundly it was a fitful sleep waking up about every 15 minutes!
Could my LACK of caffiene be leading to insomnia? OK Long shot but hey who knows.
I really wonder what it could be? HAHAHA Maybe I am pegnant. Yeah right We all know I am just broken!

Insomnia

It is driving me nutso! I am having a hard time getting to sleep or sleeping soundly. Last night; no exception. Grady has a stuffy nose and had a hard time sleeping so I was up and down with him each time not getting to sleep before he whined again then I was back up to comfort him. Everytime I tried to doze off there was a freaking chainsaw beside me. Dh snored so bad last night!! At one point I admit I elbowed him in the ribs, told him to roll over and if he didn't quit snoring I would smother him with a pillow in his sleep! OK OK in my defense it was 3am I had maybe 15 minutes of sleep and I was frazzled. We all know I wouldn't really smother the man BUT it was FUN to think about at the time LOL And lucky for me he didn't remember me saying that last night either hehe

Some catch up

I have been seriously behind in my blogging and emails etc. "Real" life comes first (I know shock and horror) and well life has been busy!

My middle son (as I have told dang near everyone this)

DS#2 brought home some homework. The assignment was as follows. Cut out an outline of your footprint. Then write a sentence or two that goes like so "when I grow up I want to follow in (fill in persons name) because" This is in honor of Martin Luther Kings Birthday.

Little Gary says to me....and THIS is where he blew my mind.... "Mom this is going to be hard. What if I don't want to follow in anybody's footsteps? What if I want to go my own way?"

So my little rebel changed the assignment a little. He started out saying. "when I grow up I want to make my own footsteps because I am an individual. I want to be the best person I can be. I am going to be a Zoo vet." That last part I thin is cute. But wowzers. I definitely have a free thinker on my hands.

I emailed his tacher before he brought the assignment in. Just wanted to give her a heads up that he thought a bit outside the box on this assignment. She went up to him after getting his homework and told him it was "fantastic"

My oldest
He is something else. Some days he is the perfect child I swear. And other days you wonder what the heck the boy is thinking. Like today after finding out that study hall was cancelled he decided he would hang out at school, not catch the bus and "fool around" at school. UGH!! He however does have a concert tonight. He has his SOLO (yes a solo!!!) in March though.

The baby

Well miniman has 4 teeth now!!4!!!! two on the top and two on the bottom! He has been miserable the past 3 days while the one was cutting through. He is doing a little better today though. Still rather needy but he is ok with not cuddling with me all day long. He is not walking yet but is standing on his own for longer periods of time. He is talking a bit now. Saying things like : Dog, good dog, da da, baba , buh buh(brotheer),hewo (hello), and some others.
He is a charmer he really is. That boy lights up my entire world :)

The dear husband

Today he took the chief exam!! I am fairly confident he will pass the written. In the entire time we have been married there have been no tests he did not at the very least pass. It is the selection board that is the cincher. He has started back into college (that may help him with the boards a little). He is getting his feet wet with one course right now, Physics!
Don't tell him or anything....but I am so proud of that man I could burst. He is a wonderful man.

As for me

Still no RE to take us. Waiting on one call back. It will work out I know it. See I just have that outlook. I HAVE to ;)
We are waiting on our taxes back. What exciting things are we going to be doing with our taxes? Build a fence, Buy that gate for Grady, Buy Grady 12 new diapers and 28 inserts, and drumroll.... I GET A DYSON (not from Amazon but still haha). It is pathetic that I am excited over a vacuum. But I go through about one vacuum a YEAR. If this one is as good and lasts as long as people say it does... Seeing as how I spend maybe $150 a year on vacuums, it will pay off.

helpless, funny, odd and hmmmm

I have a friend. She is going through a lot right now and I feel like I should be doing more to help her. Yet I am practically sitting here twiddling my thumbs.

My youngest son now thinks that everytime someone takes a drink they burp!. And what does he do? He fake burps! Take a drink of your soda or water while he is watching... he says buuuurp. It is flippin hillarious! I will have to get it on video.

You know as I printed out quite a few pictures for my MIL, I realized that my oldest is not pictured much! It isn't that I love him any less. It seems though that he is busy with this friend or that, this or that activity or plain doesn't want his picture taken. blech

And I have got my monitor back and I will begin my testing with that again. Will IT pick up my surge? ugh hmmmmmmmm

29 again

No not really. I am proud to say, TODAY I TURNED 31. No shame in that age. I feel young. I feel great "for my age" hahahaha. Seriously 31 is not old. I think my teenager self once thought how ancient 30 was. Now heck I am looking foreward to each and every year.

Nothing big today. Will probably go out to dinner this weekend. That is about it. No big hoopla for birthdays when you are an adult dangit lol

He has started waving now. Oh man it is so cute! He also says hello. Well more of hewo :)

I normaly say "hey now..." when he starts fussing well he is now saying that too! HAHAHA He will say hey now" when you tell him something.

Oh and when he crawls on Gunther or "pets" him we always told Gunther he was a good dog. Because honestly he IS to put up with all of that LOL. So now Grady doesn't just say dog but good dog! hehehe

Where I have been

create your own visited states map

May I just mention

As much I love being the Mom to boys -seriously love having boys- That bathroom day is N-A-S-T-Y!!!

Can they not aim?? And I can tell you I am not raising pro basketball players! If they hit the trashcan with anything it would be amazing.

EW EW EW AND EWWWWWWWWWWWW!

Thank you!!

My dear handy husband installed my stair gate :) It was living up to its name as the safe and secure gate. As it was safely and securely in its box on in the baby's room for the longest time.
Now technical/structural issues overcome the gate is up! It has been baby tested and it passed the test with flying colors. Now cleaning upstairs will be much easier :)

Now to get our next baby gate. I finally found one that will work! It is by Kidco called the elongate (isn't that one of those cheesy male enhancement things on infomercials??) Anyway this gate has extensions that will expand it to fit the 90 inch opening We have! Another one bolted to the wall but hell we own the place!

Oh we found it originaly and cheapest in get ths, a pet supply catalog! Now to get the $150 we need to buy it EEEK!
