How could I forget???
DS#1
He is down to HALF of his morning medications, though we added Omega 3 oil capsules a month or so ago. He is down to 1/4 of his evening and afternoon medication 1/4!!!!!! and he is doing fine.
I am hoping that he will be able to sustain with minimal or even NO medication within the year.
Cross your fingers
Done
Good news my sons trombone will be PAID IN FULL by the end of September!!! Not bad a little under a year and it will be paid for. Thank goodness this local store has an interest/fee free rent to own type of program. There was NO way we could have afforded a brand new trombone outright!
I got our electric and propane on budget payment plans. So no surprises. SAME bill every month. I pay half on the first half on the fifteenth and viola done.

I am crazy
Starting next year dh will be back to sea. Who knows when he will be home. DS#1 has clubs and music lessons. He will have to become a little more self sufficient. We live in a smaller lower rime rate area. So I feel a little less apprehensive about letting him do things his own.
The cell phone that is for....left the school, at band now, leaving band now etc
But on the flip side with his idiocy when it comes to giving things to other people....to gain friendships. Well I am VERY hesitant

Multiple posts
Annnnd here is the prime example after I typed that I got sidetracked and then came back to type and BAM blank brain!
Oh yeah. A friend recently stopped blogging. I was sad to see it. It used to keep me up to date on the going on in her life and helped me feel more in touch. She stated though how she had no real category for her blog anymore. I thought about my blog. Man it has it times doesn't it? Where does it fall? Nowhere? Everywhere? It started out in 2004 as a way to document my pregnancy. Now I post about well whatever is on my mind. OK OK whatever I can remember hahahaha. Natural progression I suppose. Some things evolve some things die some things change right?
First day of Spring
OMG people
I am amazed at people who post their ENTIRE life story. Including, sex lives, problems with their spouses, money issues, what they ate that morning...EVERYTHING. OK I understand people with diarhea of the mouth exsist everywhere. But daaaaaaaang they run in packs on the internet.
There are people besides the ones who tell EVERYTHING..... ya I will gurantee you 3,000 people will not know the last time I had sex with my husband and all the details... anyway besides them the ones I call the "woeisme Tribe". Yup the "oh woe is me me do not have ANY money. Our power is going to be shut off. I cannot buy groceries. I do not have milk for my child". yet They are the same ones you see other posts from about the car they just bought, the plane ticket, The new seasons outfit. SEASONS?!?!?! Damn I missed the memo I need new clothes for every season bought new every year. And finally (for now and for the sake of not sounding like the crazy cat lady) Those other members of the woeisme tribe, the ones who state this dire situation and "What can I do?" Then at each and every bit of advice they peshaw it and oh I can't because, I tried that 'sort of', That is so hard yadda yadda.

Well the ortho appt is also after music lessons. He FINALLY earned them back on a trial basis.
#2 son STILL hasn't got to go out for his bowling day! I feel like tar. I was so darn sick up until yesterday evening. Got that bug the kids had. Had me at a 104 fever there for a bit too. MISERABLE

This weekend
Tomorrow my oldest is competing in a Solo ensemble. He plays trombone-if I haven't mentioned that 9 million times before hahaha
We are hoping he does well. I am just amazed at how well he does. He never picked up an instrument prior to Oct last year. Oh and he has been invited to play in the stage band! He didn't even have to audition! She said as long as he continues playing trombone he is in :)
Sunday DS#2 wants to go bowling and to Weinerschnitzel for his grades. We have put it off weekend after weekend it is time to go!

Vomit, road trips and great husbands
He was told to camp out in the hall next to the bathroom since he was having problems waking up enough to realize where he is going
DH, I swear he is trying to score more points lol. He did ALL of the cleaning of DS#1's throwing up here there and everywhere.
Once that was clean... out comes running DS#2 right into the bathroom. Yup he is vomitting too. UGH!!!!
So two of the three boys up and throwing up headaches etc.
I call in this morning and low and behold his doctor is double booked so we had to go to urgent care..... about 30 miles there UGH. Gave the boys throw up bags for the car and got going. Waited too long in too small of a waiting room with too many other sick people.
Boys are dehydrated and they were given suppositories (because of the vomitting it is the only thing that makes sense) to help them hopefully at least keep down water. So far the first dosage and the first bit of gatorade is staying down.
Wish me luck that Grady and I do not get it and that the boys get better soon
I have a bathroom to scrub tomorrow and carpets upstairs to steam clean again (dh did the icky spots last night)

MOM
Mother, Mom, Mama, Mommy, Ma
JOB DESCRIPTION :
Long term, team players needed, for challenging permanent work in an often chaotic environment. Candidates must possess excellent communication and organizational skills and be willing to work variable hours, which will include evenings and weekends and frequent 24 hour shifts on call. Some overnight travel required, including trips to primitive camping sites on rainy weekends and endless sports tournaments in far away cities. Travel expenses not reimbursed. Extensive courier duties also required.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
The rest of your life. Must be willing to be hated, at least temporarily, until someone needs $5. Must be willing to bite tongue repeatedly. Also, must possess the physical stamina of a pack mule and be able to go from zero to 60 mph in three seconds flat in case, this time, the screams from the backyard are not someone just crying wolf. Must be willing to face stimulating technical challenges, such as small gadget repair, mysteriously sluggish toilets and stuck zippers. Must screen phone calls, maintain calendars and coordinate production of multiple homework projects. Must have ability to plan and organize social gatherings for clients of all ages and mental outlooks. Must be willing to be indispensable one minute, an embarrassment the
next. Must handle assembly and product safety testing of a half million cheap, plastic toys, and battery operated devices. Must always hope for the best but be prepared for the worst. Must assume final, complete accountability for the quality of the end product. Responsibilities also include floor maintenance and janitorial work throughout the facility.
POSSIBILITY FOR ADVANCEMENT & PROMOTION :
Virtually none. Your job is to remain in the same position for years, without complaining, constantly retraining and updating your skills, so that those in your charge can ultimately surpass you
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE :
None required unfortunately. On-the-job training offered on a continually exhausting basis.
WAGES AND COMPENSATION :
Get this! You pay them! Offering frequent raises and bonuses. A balloon payment is due when they turn 18 because of the assumption that college will help them become financially independent. When you die, you give them whatever is left. The oddest thing about this reverse-salary scheme is that you actually enjoy it and wish you could only do more.
BENEFITS :
While no health or dental insurance, no pension, no tuition reimbursement, no paid holidays and no stock options are offered; this job supplies limitless opportunities for personal growth and free hugs for life if you play your cards right
Power outages
So anyway power outages can be fun ;) hehe
Though when the power comes back on after you are asleep that is a shocker! lol
We still have over half the movie to watch. But tonight is me and DS#2's night to watch Survivor.

Yes...My dear dear dogs
Now you, yeah you the German Shepherd. I appreciate the fact you protect me from EVERYTHING. However if you do not stop barking everytime there is a doorbell on TV you and I will have an issue. Glad you are learning "NO BARK!". Again I have limited time to get these things done while the baby is sleeping. You waking him up with the bark that rattles the windows is not a good thing. So you too can pout in the front room until the floors are dry. But I made sure I closed the blinds in case a cat is out there. We all know you dislike cats with a passion and must show them you are macho by barking at them.

Nature VS Nurture
Well
They are up there will be no hemming and hawing chores are there in plain sight. No there is no reward for getting things done but there is a punishment for not doing things. Chores are part of being part of a productive family. They need to be prepared (eventually) for when Mom isn't there to do everything. We are a family, a team we need to work TOGETHER as such.
So step one of Bringing reality to this house complete hahahaha

our afternoon
When we made it down to the beach we look up an see two bald eagles up in the tree. Really made me wish I had my telephoto lens. We played on the beach picked up some baby crabs. The kids like how they tickle their hands when they hold them. hehe Climbed some rocks, played on the driftwood just all in all had a great time.
As we were walking back the eagles took flight. I have to say it is pretty neat to see them flying above you. The pair were joined by a third . Just neat to watch

going for a record
I forgot said Nintendo DS did make it home yesterday (intact)! He also said this morning "Mom I got up made my bed, cleaned my room, emptied the dishwasher, and now I am reading. I am trying my best to pull my head out of my butt" LOL OK I found it hillarious. I am hoping the trend continues he had a good day today.
Also a cute thing
Hmmmmm
Great googly moogly!!!
Le sigh.... Sometimes improvements aren't great.... for the pocketbook anyway

Things that make your stomach turn
HAHAHAH
Let the clouds part
I got a letter in the mail today about DS#2. You know in the standard to the parent/guardian of.
Well I open it up. Inside it states that DS#2 has tested and he has fallen into the top 5% of the schooldistrict!!!!! They want to test him and if he falls within the top 2% he will be in the districts gifted program!!!
I am so darn proud of that boy!
again let me add
And it happens AGAIN
Well last night dh and I were looking for his darn working uniform hat. I pick up Dh's Nintendo DS case and YUP EMPTY. DH doesn't play it all that often. We got it so he can take it with him when he leaves on the ship.
After dragging DS#1 out of bed yup he was the culprit. He has a friend "holding it" for him and bringing it onto the bus every morning (said he has had it for a few days!). We told him it WILL be back in this house this afternoon. He is in HUGE HUGE trouble. I cannot believe it!!! UGH
This weekend DS#1 is getting his good grades 'present' (he cose for a family bowling day and Wienerschnitzel). So DS#1 must sit in the bowling alley and not participate and sit while we go out to lunch and not eat. Since he is grounded no family fun days no nothing but... we changed this.... homework housework and sleep. Forget sitting in his room doing nothing. NOPE not going to happen. He will have stuff to do. Idol hands are the devils playground. So he will for sure have stuff to do ;)

oh and
So tell me WHAT IN THE HELL IS NEXT?!?!?!?!?!?
What do you do when you have tried everything else? what do you do when nothing works?
Where do you turn? what do you do?
I am at my wits end AND in tears. I think the tears are maybe from fear? frustration? a combo of the two?
My eldest son. Let me start by saying no matter my mood I love him. I love him so much. the reason This bothers me.... is because I DO love him
He is a theif. Yes it is true. he steals from us. EVERY chance he gets he steals. Food, money, games, gaming devices, soda, get this... BABY food (crackers) from the baby!
Here is the thing. We have done it all. Grounded him straight home to his room no out side activities no friends no nothing, made him write sentences....you all ever read the 5th Harry Potter book? I WANTED that magic quill! We have made him apologize, stolen HIS things, talked, yelled, Pleaded, cried, and yes even spanked. I have even pulled his music lessons, something he loves. Why pay for them when he is already taking from us? Lets give you an idea of the last month.... Grounded for stealing.... got 2 weeks. After week 1 STOLE! so grounded for 3 weeks. Got OFF of grounding Monday, STOLE monday night!!!!!! This morning he took too long to get out the front door to the bus stop. I call him back and YUP in his pocket his brothers gameboy! He doesn't have one because for the second time he GAVE HIS AWAY to some other kid.
At this point I am looking at visiting my son in PRISON for his 18th birthday-if not before. He shows NO remorse. He can sit there and SMILE as you scold him or when you catch him stealing. He is cold. No emotion nothing. You ask him did you take X? He will look you straight in the eye and say "no" AGAIN AND AGAIN he will deny it. It is all about making himself happy and getting what he wants, SCREW everyone else. Lie and steal to what he wants to get what he wants at that moment. Future rapist? Career criminal? Three stikes victim?
I do not understand he has been raised the same as DS#2 ... and he is THE most honest and loving kid you could ever hope for. This child has been reduced to tears after his OWN brother has stole from him. He doesn't understand how his brother could do this to him, to the family.
I am looking at DS#1 I am so fearful he is going to look back on his childhood and only remember Mom and Dad being mad all the time. Always being grounded or in trouble and THINK that we do not love him. But the reason we are so hard on him and trying to get this straightened out, is because we want only the best for him.
Today I went to the Sheriffs office. I explained I was coming to them for their help before they were at my door to arrest my son. I broke down I cried. I told him we have tried everything. Is there anything he could do? He agreed to talk to him and hopefully scare him into being a good kid again. And when he hits 12 .... I can press charges should he steal from me again.
I know some of you gasped at the thought of a mother pressing charges against her child. Let me tell you all.... I would in a heartbeat!!! if it means that he will not be a criminal as an adult yes I would.
Why? I know the boy has mental health issues. But man oh man this is killing me. What next?
