You know
I am I guess tough on those on boards who have CONSTANT money problems and yet buy fivilous things and waste money on smoking and drinking etc. BUT I understand having an occasional money issue. I Do not want anyone to feel I am a hypocrite. We are having money issues. We have had some unexpected expenses come up and STRAP us for the last month and the next month to come. BUT we are not out spending willy nilly. Bills are paid just not any extra left.
So I will continue to tell some they are idiots for complaining about money and then running out and buying say..... a big screen tv. But also keep in mind folks we KNOW what it is like to be tight money wise.

A local woman THINKS they may have found her girl who was kidnapped at two years old all these years later (she is a teen now) living in TX. The FBI and local authorities are involved and going to do a DNA test on the girl to be sure. Should take.... about 4 weeks.
Yet if you go on Maury with your 12 potential 'babies daddies' you will know none of them are the father in 48 hours!

Today
Is my wonderful husbands birthday!
And may I gloat... he is finally 5 years older than me again WHEW!!! hahahaha
I love him so much I really do (I can hear the gagging now from the readers lol). I wish there was more I could do for him this year. But money is uber tight. I was able to pick up some Feta for his feta and spinach stuffed steak he requested for dinner. Let me say thank God I buy meat in bulk and stock our freezer or we'd REALLY be hurting.
Anywhoooo. Happy birthday to a wonderful husband and father.

I know what I want now
I think anyway
I thought I was set on the Dodge Caravan. But now After reading my consumer reports and comparing the two models features. I want a Honda Odyssey EX-L with the DVD entertainment system. Yup my dream car is a minivan!! HOPEFULLY (cross your fingers) sometime this fall we can get the home equity loan pay off the car and bills (minimal bills) and buy the van. Oh that would be sooo sweet! The honda has more interior room and seats 8 instead of 7 etc etc
OK rich relative thatis reading this blog... PLEASE buy it for me. You can come on over for the holidays I swear hehehe.
Oh and my Mom who is a resident of Oregon. Has offered to come to WA and buy the van for us. She does not pay sales tax! She thinks it would work for the van as well. That would rock!

I am VERY proud of the boy. He will be getting his hair dyed. Who knows what color but it was our agreement. And it is a tiny compromise. Good grades, I will let him have his hair however he wants it ;)

After almost 14 months... Grady has weaned himself. I think when I got really sick he started to lose interest.
It has been a week now with no nursing so I am fairly certain it is over.

I told DH last night I had the bird flu. I thought it was only fair to warn him. Seriously I STILL feel like tar. Darn antibiotics aren't they supposed to be magical pills? Insta cures?

Ok yeah so I AM
SICK.
I admit it now you happy??? Upon Dh's insistance I went to the doctor today.
I have bronchitis and sinusitis. So yeah I am sick blech
Antibiotics and another med for my sinuses as well and give me two weeks and I am back in the game!! lol
Oh annnnnd I have high blood pressure!! Yup past 3 appts my lower (diastolic) reading has been high so I technicaly have PREhypertension. I have to keep track of my BP over the next month and if it remains high I have to go on meds. LeSigh!!!
I have a good diet my stress level and weight though that is the issue.

I have thought about maybe medical billing or transcription too.
I need to bring in about $500-1000 a month. Just enough to make things more comfortable budget wise around here.

My new mulch
Well it turns out that I am allergic to beauty bark. At leas the stuff the landscapers put in here. I touch it and I break into a miserable itchy rash . I asked for suggestions as to an alternative someone mentioned RubberStuff It looked intriguing and something dh had brought up before. We looked at the local retailers. Turns out our local Navy exchanges are the only ones in the state that carried it. We went and bought a few bags and tried it out. I really liked it. So dh went back and got an additional 16!!!! bags. We...well HE has finished the front. ALL of that NASTY beauty bark is gone. Here are a couple of pictures
Now when/if we get that swingset we will be putting down the playground grade green. and we will continue the same color in front around the side of the house where my tulips and daffodils will be.
