Handyman central

Ahh the hubby played a good general contractor today...heck who am I kidding? He was WONDERFUL. A two day project but the new playground is up!! I had a heck of a bout with my allergies. I couldn't be out for more than an hour without my eyes getting so bad I couldn't see. But as always the hubby shouldered the bulk of the load and got the set up and running. Next week.....fence supplies :)

That went quick

With checks in hand I headed to the bank. Took one check BAM!! paid off our credit card. Took another check and BAM!! paid off our car! Went over to the exchange and BAM!! paid our card off in full. All paid in full all done that quick. I do not think I had money (that was mine) flow out of my hands so darn quick.
Then between the playset and the fence building supplies POOF More money spent in a day than EVER LOL
Good hometown companies. Let me give two thumbs up to shopping local! We went into Cascade Lumber to order our supplies. We got a discount on all of our supplies! When you are ordering all the lumber to build a complete fence... it was a nice amount!

Tomorrow we have some construction around here to do and some little tasks here and there. Lumber ill be delivered next week and the week after DH is taking 2 weeks off to build a fence and R-E-L-A-X (I hope)

So tada lots going on and all in the right direction!

10 rounds with Mike Tyson

After a day yesterday where Grady vomitted on me twice. Oh yippie. things seemed to be looking up. Then when he woke up this morning his face looked like he went 10 rounds with Mike Tyson. His lip was at least 2x normal size his eyes were swollen and his chubby cheeks were worse than normal.
After a trip to the urgent care. It was confirmed the rash I saw were hives and the swelling was another symptom of his allergic reation. Reaction to what you may ask. Not sure! It could be the Motrin, it could be something he ate or it could simply be a reaction to something in the air or a virus.
THIS is why they call medicine a 'practice' hahaha
After his Benadryl he is looking much better now.

The older boys got a touch of the bug yesterday too hitting their stomachs full force. I felt like tar yesterday too. But today is much better.

Now this week we are waiting on the refi to finalize. The credit cards and car will bepaid off. Debt free. WOWZERS. Along with enough money left to build that fence finally!
Now here is the thing. I cannot get over the guilt of cutting down a tree in our yard. I have been trying to think of a way to build the fence and leave the tree. Any suggestions?

Well by Friday

It should be done. What you ask?? our refinance/equity loan.
The credit cards and car will be paid off. Debt free... WOW.
Also enough left over for our fence and.... maybe the swing set. Who knows. It also frees up a few hundred a month as well.
Can you hear the sigh of relief??
Maybe next year we CAN get our new van! But I do not want to add to any debt right now at all Credit cards are in dh's hands. It will take two of us to say yes to any credit purchase. One of us is always the voice of reason.

DS#1's CT scan showed a small growth , no bones involved YIPPIE.
Surgery is still scheduled for August.
