Nutrition
Finding things to keep you healthy can be quite the task at times. Some of us look for things that are outside or prescription medicines. Whether it is a nutrional supplement like a protein shake or muscle builders or your standard daily vitamin supplement like a B-complex, Vitamin E, Vitamin C or Zinc N101 Nutrition Has the products you are looking for. If you are in the market for diet and weight loss products they have those too! They have the sought after hydroxycut and Twin Labs ripped fuel. All at great prices. And are you looking for Burts bees products? Look no farther! I will recommened the lip balm. It totally rocks
The whole topic of blog advertising got me to thinking how much I tell you all how much I do advertising and the like on here. So in the meantime I have decided that posting a Disclosure policy using a Disclosure Policy Generator. Hmm with some of the things I post maybe I should make you all sign a non-disclosure agreement. I KID of course! This is also in a link in my sidebar;)

Is heading in for his last official day of work today. He is getting all of his ducks in a row and simply checks out of his command tomorrow. This translates into him being AT HOME for 3 weeks solid. I have very mixed feelings on that HAHAHA I love him lots but he interrupts my routine. Though most of the time it is a welcome interruption ;)
I make it no secret that I utilize paid blogging as well as my original postings or as I would rather refer to them....ramblings. Does this mean I have sold out to corporate America? Hmm maybe. But I don't think so. How is it any different than running, say, adsense on your page? Adsense you don't even have a choice what ads run on your page. With PayPerPost you chose what you do and don't post about. Simple as that. There are many posts that I won't make because simply they are outside or my 'comfort zone'. Again, as I have said before, it is all about choice. What do I chose to post about, if anything. I look at my advertising posts as a sort of 'sponsorship' to make my general ramblings worth the time it takes to writ them. Anyone who knows me too can tell the difference between my post and an advertisement. It can be simplyfied by saying, if you don't like it, don't read it I suppose. I am getting paid for my research and opinons. Doesn't sound all that bad to me. I am thinking that someone at Techcrunch may have a deep seeded issue with PPP.
I am just not sleeping well at all every hour or so I am waking up. Again in that panic sort of state thinking I am late or forgetting something etc. Talk about annoying! Just when I get back to sleep again the baby wakes up. Poor babe is teething. He has 4 teeth coming in all at once
DIY-What in the heck does it mean? Well it translates into WORK for most of us haha Home ownership. I swear it is a double edged sword. On one hand It is the investment of a lifetime right? I mean we are building a lot of. equity. But on the other hand our home is a constant project, constant home repairs. We are almost always doing something around here. Whether it is building a fence and making the yard kid friendly, planning new flooring downstairs, painting all of the rooms a different color than what we affectionately refer to as new construction tan it is all an adventure a hard work labor intensive adventure. You know what though? I kind of like it. I am addicted to all of those home improvement sites and home improvement shows. Our future projects came from some of those shows. Like the Pergola I would love to have over our back deck. yup Then reading about it online TOTALLY possible Now if I just had some of the talent thos people have we would be living in a showplace! Who am I kidding with kids showplace may be a bit out of the realm of possibilities. Make sure you enter for the $50,000 giveaway
I could have kicked myself, hard! But then I would probably fall in the attempt to do so and everyone would laugh etc etc. But today as the miniman and I were out and about I saw a few PERFECT picture opportunities. Did I have my Camera with me? No!
We have a love hate relationship. While it was an upgrade from my previous cell phone that had hamsters in little wheels running it. However as soon as I brought the darn thing home it was outdated! It seems that cellphone technology is on a fast track lately. Figures since Seattle (which we live near) seems to be the hub of technological advances lately. I would have done my pocketbook better by getting best free cell phone I am not one who HAS to have the latest in technology but I sure do like it ;) This phone, the Nokia 7250i looks like it rocks! I wonder if Cingular carries it? We have been considering getting the oldest one of those pay as you go cell phones.
I am watching Shaun of the Dead again. Some people think it is an idiotic film but I laugh everytime. Maybe it is the dry Brittish humor? It is just a fun flick to watch I think
No I am not talking about some no soul type talent agent or anything. Real Estate Agents... let's talk turkey. OK not turkey but the value of finding a good agent. I can tell you from experience having an agent who works for you is worth his or her weight in gold. An agent who needs constant prodding to get anything done is just an albatross around your neck, making impossible to make any progress toward getting your dream home. Find the right agent and make your buying experience what it should be.
He and the oldest are having a great time at the CPR/First Aid/BBP class. He said that the oldest is doing really well and keeping up with the entire class. DH also said that the other people there were proud of our son for taking the class and they wish their child would take the class too. They were amazed when they were told DS wanted to take the class and he asked he wasn't told to take it :) So they both should be bringing home their certifications this afternoon
I forgot my middle son wanted to go too I told him when I go in for my recertification in 2 years he could go with me. He will be 10 then.
You know I was reading this article 7 ways your home can kill you. The 7 ways your home can kill you... Toxic mold is a huge thing up here. You always here of people having to move because of toxic mold. Or they have to undergo a long and quite expensive clean-up once they find the mold in their home. The enviromentalists are really big here too with regulations. When you are looking for ways to keep your family safe having a site to reference is a big asset
Ahh a word that I love to hear haha. Free Product Samples I love to try new things. I base a lot of my buying decisions on the free samples I get. It makes it nice to be able to try out a product before I make my decision to buy it. This rings especially true if it is a new product. I hate to get stuck with a whole package of something that I will never use because it turns out I didn't like it! Like this vitamin C stuff I got recently. Let me tell you the truth. I tried it and did not like it. So guess what I won't be buying? If you sign up for the FREE membership on Free Product Samples you can start getting free samples and see various articles etc too. I can tell you just from the homepage I have so many of those products. NatureMade vitamins and supplements are a staple in this house. And With boys, neosporin is a given! Purell Ok with as many butt changes that are made around here let me tell you there is a bottle of that stuff in almost EVERY room hahah Kraft of course... Ranch no cows! I cannot wait to join up and get some of these free samples :)
Spanish classes are going very well. He finally remembered not to get on the school bus today too lol He has some homework in class and is applying some of the words he is using to our daily life. Now I wish I could get my hands on a copy of the Rosetta Stone software to help him learn.
This is for my NASCAR loving friends. You know who you are out there. The ones who get ready for race day like it is a major life event :) You crazy fun loving folks. Let me tell you too, I think it is hillarious being stuck in the middle of a who is the best debate. There is nothing like driver/team loalty. Why not show your colors and show your pride on the "NASCAR Forum" and "NASCAR". You know you want to ;p I remember when I was little watching the races with my Dad.
Dh is on his wau home. He sounds exhausted to say the least. He wanted to actualy work and well now he is. He has to get up early in the morning to go to Anacortes for the CPR First aid class. He and the oldest are going. I know at the very least the oldest is really looking forward to it :)
I am again winging it for dinner. I have not felt up to it and have NOT stuck to a menu this week. I need to get back into that next week
Another dream vacation! A friend of mine came back from there and gave me a list of MUST see's. The canopy ,tree top tours were supposedly spectacular. The Arenal volcanic park is supposed to be awe inspiring. You know there are a lot of volcanic parks. Oh and the fishing that is supposed to be 'other wordly' fantastic sport fishing. I bet you could find more info on this Costa Rica Forum. Finding people with the been there done that experience can be so useful
Today I need to get some things done. My husband SHOULD be home tonight. I should get the house in tip top shape so he can come home and just relax. But would you like to know how much motivation I have? Let me spell it out for you n-o-n-e. He said don't bother about dinner because he will not be here for it. But he is still going to want to come home and chill out. I guess I could run the vacuum and do a load of laundry.
I have a lot of dream home appliances. Lots of things out there that would make easier housework that is for sure. I swear some things are getting so futuristic. Like the Roomba or Scooba are future cleaning products and make vacuuming fun or at the very least less work :) I think it would be REALLY cool to have one of those vacuuming as I went about the rest of my business. It would of course serve a double purpose too. My border Collie would loose those last 7 pounds to be a fit young pup again by chasing the darn thing around the house! haha I wonder if that could be considered a necesary household item. Hmmm maybe I can make it that way.
That they cannot read? I have chore listsup. one for each of the older boys. It is pretty easy they do not have a ton of chores to do. Actually they are pretty common sense type things, clean up after yourself clean your room etc. But does any of it get done? NO. I cook dinner should I have to clean up too? In a perfect world? nope. But do I? yes. RANT RANT RANT
Well it is getting to be that time of year here in the Pacific Northwest. The leaves are turning and the weather is getting crisper. Soon the winds will start (the drawbacks of living on an island). It is time to break out the winter bedding. Have you ever tried to figure out what in the heck they mean by all of the different down comforter varities? Holy Hannah! How To Buy Down Bedding Great to have a neutral third party to tell you what means what :)
We are having an impromtu movie noght here the boys and a friend. We are watching moster House. It is the perfect movie for this time of year. Thank you Netflix!
I really wish that someone would take me to a REALLY cool haunted house but I am in a house full of big babies.
Well most of you who have followed my ramblings over the past know we bought our first house about a year and a half ago. Let me tell you that is one process that is very trying & very stressful! Talk about a foreign land filled with hidden fees and scams! It takes some knowledge to make it through all of that mess. Now that we are preparing to do a mortgage refinancing WE will know what to be looking for and looking out for too! I suggest anyone go through the process protect themselves. As we all know knowledge is power
Today I have got a few things to do. After a day in Seattle I needed a relaxing day. But I have to go pick up another medicine GRRR and while I am in town I may as well hit the 10 for $10 sale at the store. Maybe I will hit the fruit stand too. Honeycrisp apples are devine!
That is it Ted get the girl a case of vitamin water and some wine, the wine for after work of course. Maybe she could use an assistant too. A potato makin' assistant. Oh and try canned cheese in the kong! Freeze it too (if you didn't already. This was a great insight into the warped and hectic world of the payperpost employee. I love it. You made me laugh Flaming Tamale. Maybe we should head out to the salon together and let our personal shoppers do the work! Hmm that is if I get a PPP paid to blog raise or something. I do not think I am up to affording a personal shopper just yet LOL
In my studies that is. Now I am meeting up head on with Human anatomy and physiology and disease processes-bones and joints. I know you all are sitting there thinking of how damn luck I am to be studying such compelling topics. But not all of you can be me ;P
The weather here looks good so the trip should be uneventful. I have been up since a bit before 4am. I have got some laundry done. I took my first round of medicines... 4x a flippin' day I go through this stuff. I cannot wait for it to be over.
I am now watching The Omen and waiting to have to get going. Not looking forward to it. I guess the anxiety is getting to me. I try not to let it but there it is. GRRR.
Both my husband and myself have been to Hawaii. Unfortunately not at the same time. I have gone a couple of times and soaked in the islands. My husband had made some port calls there. Now if we could just coordinate and go there together! I have seen a lot of our friends have really romantic Maui Wedings Maybe one day we could do our renewal there? the 10 year is now out of the question. Maybe as a retirement from the Navy renewal of vows ..it is a new chapter in our lives.
I have to take #1 down to Seattle for his post-op check-up. I am a bit nervous. I am really hoping that the doctor cannot see any regrowth of the tumor. I hope that it all goes well. I LOVE the city of Seattle. As far as big cities go it is wonderful but I am not looking forward to driving down there in the rain. Rain I know we should be used to it here in the PNW. But it seems that people become idiots when it rains up here. I think I will take the big man out for a Jamba Juice when we are done at the hospital. I really want to head to Pike Place and get some Greek food but I don't think we will have time. Time enough to get back and get #2 off of the school bus. Maybe I will take all the boys out to dinner tomorrow.
Well when we bought this house the builder and the landscaper designed the layout of the place and the front and back yards. They did a decent enough job. I like how they did not use sharp angles or a lot of straight lines but rather curves and more sweeping angles. There are so many landscaping ideas and plans out there. It is amazing some of the things people dream up. Very ingenious ideas. When we lived in San Diego and before that China Lake the big ideas were water saving ladscaping. If it were without grass and rocks instead or some other plan there were a lot landscaping ideas. Plus decks...oh man I love decks. Ok how strange does that sound? But I love having a deck to sit on. Have you seen some of the patterns they have now for decks? Very cool
Maybe ticked I guess more confused than anything else. The topic today, smoking. I quit smoking in 1997. Well OK I quit smoking the FINAL time in 1997 when I found out I was pregnant (I had quit when I was pregnant with my first too). From that point on I didn't smoke. My husband quit back about 2001 ish. Now I am the worst well they do say that ex-smokers are the worst. I cannot stand the smell. It turns my stomach. My husband has come home recently, gone directly to the bathroom, washed his hands and hit the Listerine. I am not an idiot I know he has been smoking. It is not working hon I can smell it on you, I know it when I kiss you, I can smell it on your hands too. I open up his travel credit card statement today (while he was on the phone we were figuring out if he paid enough) and I see a couple of charges I KNOW were for cigarettes. No one goes to a gas station and spends $4 on gas ;) What bugs me so much?? he is lying about it. If you love me you don't lie to me period. OK if I lose all of my senses and ask somethig idiotic like does my ass look fat in this sure lie to me. However chances are I will never seriously ask that question because I KNOW the answer lol I am hurt by the lying to tell you the truth. And confused. Why does he smoke when he is away from home and at work? Should I look at it as at least we do not stress him out enough at home to drive him to smoking? haha Is it the lack of productivity at work? Is it work stress? Is it him wanting to be one of the cool kids and he gave in to peer pressure?
Ugh frustration abounds. If I could think like a guy (though I have been accused of that) I might be able to figure him out. But as it stands now I have no clue WTF is going through his mind. Maybe I don't want to know?
Again one last time I will say the lying bothers me A LOT. Because my mind goes automaticaly to what ELSE is he hiding?
antibiotic to the list. They found comething ELSE wrong in the detailed labwork and called in another prescription for me. So the heavy duty antibiotic won't cover everything. Holy Hannah. When I break I do it right!
Ok it is no secret I have been bitten by the travel bug. Europe is my preferred destination. However, how cool would it be to live in another country?? Seriously. Talk about fully experiencing a new culture. Buying a property in SpainWould rock. I know the language so that is one less hurdle for me. The culture is more laid back and more open than here in the United states. And the food. OK yeah like I need to worry about food. But that would be an awesome selling point as well. Some of the costal areas they are so beautiful. Maybe we can retire there? Ahh the dreams right?
LOVE watching Amazing Race with me. This time they were in Saudi Arabia. The contestants climbed up the water towers and my middle son was giddy talking about how fun that looked! I can really see him being quite the adventurer. We are talking about getting a handheld GPS to do some geocaching. Our own little adventures :)
When my friend Michelle was reading my posts on my blog, my complaints about money or rather lack of she had a suggestion for me. She said she had been doing some blog advertising and getting paid for it. Holy heck what a wonderful idea for me too! I took her up on her suggestion and started doing PayPerPost (PPP) on my own. So about every other post of mine is a PPP sometimes less. Would you believe that here I am a little over three weeks into it and I have made over $350? OK it is not a HUGE amount BUT it is great for me to have the extra money for things like my pampering days (which I will be starting soon), buying some extra stuff for Christmas, getting some things we need to have in place for the adoption home study or whatever. I have even turned a couple of other friends on to doing PPP. They are excited at the prospect as well.
OK I do not mind diaper duty. It is crappy work (HAHAHA) but no big deal. That is unless you have a toddler who HATES diapers and hates being dressed. DRIVES me batty especially when he strips after I put him down for a nap. Even more so when it is sheet day and he HAD clean sheets on his bed UGH
to come out of my going to urgent care, was the warning that my doctor gave me about me taking my pain medication.. She said "while you are on this medicine try not to do anything that requires you to think" haha I know this stuff can make you a bit loopy fine but I found that statement very funny (even NOT on medication).
back before we started having fertility problems I had considered becoming and egg donor and making "Egg Donor" & "Egg Donations" for an infertile couple. Amazing how the world changes and then We ended up having fertility problems. My problem was't with my eggs but I know many women do have a problem in that area. Being able to give a couple a chance at having a family of their dreams though. It just seems very rewarding to me
I feel a little better today. My gauge for that? I am not in agony. So not in agony=better. Dh left bright and WAY too early for the week. So I am a bit nervous to be home and sick like this to be honest. It isn't like I haven't been sick alone before. Just this one isn't the best situation. OK I am off to take a shower before the baby gets up
always wondered how you did this. How you both found work doing voice overs. Or for that matter how people found people to do their voice overs. This site helps bring the two together. It is an ingenious idea to have a forum for the two sides of the spectrum to meet. That is I think it would be a neat job to have. Again being able to talk abd get paid for it? What job could be better :)
Dh has C homework again. This time not only is it the mumbling I find so endearing but a little bit of swearing mixed in there too. I was warned this is normal. But here I am living with it HAHA
Wasabi Ice cream. It is no secret I love spicy foods. I also like some off the wall things that most turn their noses up at. Coldstone used to make a Wasabi-ginger ice cream which wash DELICIOUS with some raspberrys. Apparently though it wasn't popular enough. Pooie. Hey don't they make wasabi ice cream in Japan too? Hmm another positive mark for visiting japan.
I swear these places are outside of every military installation out there. I know that sometimes you can use one of these places in a dire emergency but man they can really become quite the trap. They even have an Online Cash Advance Payday Loan. Will wonders never cease
#1 had some friends over tonight I made some dinner and we had a cake. They all did really well between Foosball, magic the Gatering and video games time FLEW!! But the kid had a great birthday and that is what counts... Pictures will follow :)
blue as the sky, blue as grover, blue as the ocean deep, the wild blue yonder. The payperpostbluemonster and blog marketing are back on my blog today. Hey I am not sick enough to quit posting. What can I say? Not too much I suppose. Today though I believe is the last day of the payperpostbluemonster 'sightings'. So I will not be torturing you with it much longer. That is unless I make the opportunity fee. Then it will be one heck of a GIDDY post
Is my oldests birthday. the big man is now 12 years old! 12!!! How in the world did he (and I ) get so old?? Time is flying. The big guy wanted to go with me to urgent care today so while we were waiting on my lab results I took him out for his FREE coldstone icecream. We are having a few friends of his over tonight fof foosball, BBQ and cake.
For something completely different. Do you all ever watch those shows like The Unit? Or oh maybe Dallas SWAT? All of the equipment they have is so dang cool. We are talking about everything they use from night vision goggles, infrared scopes, ultra cool binoculars etc. Well though please be sure if you use binoculars you take the lens covers off umlike the POTUS who left them on during a photo op. Ok back to this website. Because well that is what I am posting about is this website and it's products. This site is the leading sports optic supplier. Of course another bonus point in their favor is the fact that they offer free shipping on anything priced over $29.95, free UPS shipping.
They also carry Telescopes. My oldest has been after me for quite some time now to pick up a telescope. If we had less trees and more access to other peoples windows I might have been more worried that it isn't the stars and sky he wanted to look at LOL And microscopes! My youngest is a science nerd. Let's fact it, it runs in the family. I won't tell you which side though haha. With it being hunting season in many parts of the United States right now there are a bunch of goodies to be found.
From the doctor. Get this, I am sick. LOL No it isn't a bladder infection. I have an internal infection that got bad enough it is now mimicking a bladder infection too. I am on so VERY powerful antibiotics and some nice things they call Vicodin. I should start feeling better in 3 days if not I have to go to the hospital No thanks. So healing vibes my way please.
I got all of the things I wanted to get. I had to 'upgrade' the stereo I was going to get DS#1 for his birthday tomorrow. The one I was looking at they were out. They tried to sell me the floor model for only 10% off and NO warranty. No thanks. I spent an extra $30 and got another brand/newer model. I got DS#2 his FLYpen. With my Costco Member rewards check I ONLY spent $30!!! It was $99.99. I used their coupons from their member book and saved another $50 on things we normaly buy anyway. So I have stocked up our linen closet (tissues soaps etc etc) I went to Target and got DH the new game he wanted Company of Heroes and my Biolage for my hair. Boring no?? The only other thing id there is this song on a new album I got that I SWEAR sounds like one I have heard before. But I cannot place it. It is driving me nutso
I warned you before you read. I have abladder infection. I HURT. Not a little bit either. Dang thing came on so quick I didn't know what hit me. If I hurt tomorrow when I wake up I will head to urgent care.
blue post for the day. I promise to get happier from here on out LMAO. As I am heading out to spend money today my mind goes to that $500 possibility. Ahhh we can All wish right? I just want the picture pieced together so we can all see the exact mystery of the payperpostbluemonster. Oh I have told a few more people about blog ads. I hope they sign up under me. Crossing my fingers here. Maybe THEY can piece this thing together?
To head out the door. We as in the miniman and I. We have some errands to run today. Which leaves my husband at home with the two older boys. The two older boys are tasked with room cleanings. Not just clean SPOTLESS. I am at the end of my rope when it comes to their messes. They had better start pulling their weight aka cleaning their messes ASAP. They are not the baby they are older boys who know better.
Well the payperpostbluemonster us back in my blog again. Like that bad penny, he/it keeps turning up. I supposeblog ads are addicting Isn't it funny how I have automatically dubbed the payperpostbluemonster as a he? Sexist maybe? Not sure. I know plenty of women that could fit into that monster category. Heck I could have fit into that monster category if you ask some people I may have ticked off along the way. Maybe the blue monster is along the lines of devil in a blue dress? eh who knows? Certainly not me ;)
I love my husband dearly ...no matter the little moments I wish I could throttle him. But his communication skills SUCK. We were doing a school assignment with our middle son. DH wrote a comment on a story DS wrote. DS took the paper and handed it to me. "I cannot read it!" I told him I would try but in all the years Mom and Dad have been married she has got ONE letter. Yes thats right folks he has been gone for months at a time almost a year once NO LETTERS I sent him with stamps and stationary etc. Still nothing. I love him but you know what WRITE Mr!!!!
OK OK I tell you all what I am still trying to put together the payperpostbluemonster. If one of you deposits the $500 into my paypal I will quit talking about it. OK Seriously. I know the picture has some people in it and a car..... ummm past that I am clueless, like that is different from most any other day lol. I have found... blog marketing Is a wonderful opportunity I think Life is good blogging for $ is also good. Getting paid for being wordy works for me ;)
Let sleeping dogs lie BUT what about sleeping husbands? He has been aleep since 3 and it is 5 now. I am trying to resist the urge to poke him or something. OK there are nicer ways to wake the man up lol but I just want to bug him a little. Why? I have no clue LOL How bad is that I just want to bug him 'just 'cause'. I am such a kid I swear.
Tomorrow I am off to buy DS#1 his birthday gift (a stereo) and cake. Yes folks I am not making one I am buying one at Costco... So sue me. lol I am also picking up #2's Christmas gift. He wants the FLY pen. Costco has one that is the pen and the Harry Potter Marauders Map, all at the same price as just the pen everywhere else. Let's hope they still have it.
I am sure there are studies out there. But I can tell you I do believe it is genetic. Possibly a bit of environmental influence true. But sarcasm runs rampant in ths house! I was talking to my sweet little man at the tender age of 20 months (as of Sunday). In his defense he was eating his waffle. Anyway I was chatting to him and he puts up his hand and gave me the 'talking hand' and said "yayaya" Yup he yadda yadda'd me!
payperpostbluemonster for the day. I am sitting here eating some chocolate drizzle and peanut butter drizzle popcorn DELISH add 'em together and it tastes like a sort of popcorm Reses peanut Butter cup. No one could be BLUE while eating this stuff not even the Payperpostbluemonster well if it were a person hahaha. Munch on this stuff wile posting blog ads perfect day ;) Again think about it $500. OK I know by the end of all of this someone will want to SEND me $500 just to shut me up!! Well if that is the case my PayPal address is.....
The Youngest and the oldest dog are going through some...hmmmm adjustments. It seems the puppy is trying to establish his dominace over the old man. The old man is getting ticked off to tell the truth. But it is funny in a warped way to see this little (in comparison) Border Collie. Stand up to a German Shepherd , and mean it. Now if he could lower his bark a a bit it would help the whole piercing my skull thing
Let's discuss the payperpostbluemonster. Why is it blue? Is it sad? Did it possibly lose it's girlfriend? Or maybe a messy Divorce? Maybe he hasn't learned about blog ads? Maybe he lost his job? Maybe he isn't getting what I think is in the picture... a CAR. Maybe it is just a culmination of life events that are weighing on the poor guy? Maybe he needs a dog. Dogs are fun to have! So are kids but would you want a lot of little blue kidlets running around? no I wouldn't either
Toddler....whatever ;) This kiddo, love him to bits but he cannot eat the same thing two days in a row. Honestly he will refuse to eat. So this morning I get up and make him waffles from scratch. So now I am sitting here and finishing making the rest of the batch so I can freeze the. that way druing the week the boys can take two and pop them in the toaster. Ego eat your heart out. I even threw in chocolate chips and made some of them chocolate chip waffles. Wish I had blueberries though.
Oh last night...Spoiled kids- We live on an island, it is FULL of lakes and creeks etc too. So during certain times of the year when the roads are wet especially it looks like the aftermath of raining frogs. They are everywhere. My oldest son comes in...when he should have been washing out the trashcan.... saying "MOM I see a frog. I need something to put it in for extra credit for science! If I bring it in I get extra credit PLEASE" Turns out he got extra credit for the guppies too. So out I go with one of my canning jars and go after this itty bitty hopping EVERYWHERE tree frog. So I catch the darn thing dh pokes holes in the lid so he can breathe we stick some grass in there and tada captured frog and botteled entertainment for all. The miniman was giggling everytime it moved. The kids went through names for him. Leapster was a suggestion. So he was then dubbed L-Max. Good news he lived through the night and went to school this morning :)
Well here it is time for another pice of the payperpostbluemonster. I hope I can type quick enough to qualify for this one too :) I am really curious as to what this new announcement can be?? PayPerPost blog ads rock on! $500 is what I keep inmind especially with Christmas coming up. escpecially since I am going to Costco Sat or Sunday to buy a Christmas present yes I buy early lol
Things are OK now. We worked out issues out had a good talk and all. You know I am not lying when I say while we disagree we are not argumentative. No name calling no yelling etc. So an honest to goodness argument sets me back a bit.
I have let a few things build up over way too long got a bit full of resentment I guess you could say. So BOOM my top blows on one of the worst days possible.
I won't air it all out here for the world.. those friends of mine who want to know feel free to ask.
We are OK too many years to throw it away. I am not that type anyway. but I had to put my foot down and open up the doors to communication. We will see how this plays out. He will be gone for the wee next week then tansfer out of his old station that same day i start 7 hours of classes for 5 days. Then ...well he will be home for the holiday and then on the plane the next day. Looks like he will be home and then be home for one month (well still working on the ship) Then he will be off again. For how long? No clue. Everybody sing... "here we go again....." Well like I said lots came out not going to post them here though. To summarize, things are on the road to repair.
what once every four years? And we pick TONIGHT to do it? Happy flippin' anniversary. I certainly hope things change tonight or I will be crushed to tell you the truth.
Payperpostbluemonster. Whoooo are you who who who who……We all wanna know! Tell us. Umm wait no let me get all of the pieces of the monster. Let me get the opportunity fee for blog marketing $500 can go a long way in this house. Lets see as long as I don’t go to Costco that money can go a long long way. I could restock our can pantry. I could go to Silvana meats and get a split half cow. Or a whole pig. That would stock our freezer for a long while. OR I could buy myself some clothes oh yeah there we go! I could go out get my hair and mails done buy some clothes. There we go me stuff. I have been told I do not do enough of that. So spoil me it will be. Maybe. But you know guilt gets the best of me.
I gave away the boys' old Game boy. I am in that mood. You better hide anything you don't use but still want to keep LOL. Another reason we all love Free cycle here. An esasy way to unload stuff If you haven't checked out http://www.freecycle.org I would suggest you do. I just got a kickbut water cooler :) I can stop renting the one from the water delivery service hehe
The man, the myth, the legend that is known as the payperpostbluemonster and blog marketing. Maybe it isn’t a man. Maybe with all of this hype it is a really good looking girl type monster? Makes you wonder no? Hmm what could it be? I have covered about all of the blue monster possibilities. Oh I know!!! It is a new Pokemon! Payperpostbluemonsterachu or something like that. Hey I can try to guess right? What would it evolve into though? Makes you wonder. OK it also makes me wonder why I know that Pokemon evolve. I know too much about that stuff for it to be normal in any way I swear.
The boys if they helped each other clean their rooms it would go quicker right? Nope they fight UGH Anyone know a way around that? Maybe putting them together in a room and seeing who comes out? I KID!! I know they love each other and will eventually outgrow the bkickering
Its a monster, it is blue. It is the payperpostbluemonster. It's about blog ads... maybe What is that you ask? I do not know either. There have been many speculations, many sightings. I think if this keeps up that it may rival the Bigfoot sightings here in the Pacific Northwest. Next thing you know they will be selling tickets to rubes to take a peek at the mystery!
Root words can kiss my butt! :p Seriously another chapter done 89% I am getting there! Plus that finishes out my unit in medical word building. Now onto..grammar and style essentials. I wish I could say I was excited. I wish I couldn't say that the prospect of this unit makes me long for medical word building hahaha
Anniversary to us :) A crazy ceremony, HILLARIOUS vows, a 2 year old who dropped the rings numerous times Here we are. Still living, laughing and loving. Way outlasting my lovely family members who took bets at the wedding saying we would last less than a year. And to those of you who havve been divorced at least once sine then buuuuurrrrrnnnnn LMAO
We have made it through a lot. A move to BFE CA. NAWS China Lake...the gateway to Death Valley. THAT is a catchy title. The birth of our second son. A move to San Diego time for sea duty (a bit over 4 years 2 ships). Lots of goodbyes. But the welcome homes are always SWEET. Lots of great memories some, not so great. Each though has strengthened us in ways I never would have guessed. A good bye in 2003 a move to WA and finally a welcome home that November. The birth of our third son in 2005. Then an immediate move into our first home we purchased.
It has been a fun bunch of years even smooshed into a paragraph or two. Here is the adventure the next 10 years bring...Now THAT should be interesting
I love my husband more than I ever imagined possible. I try to let him know every day how much he means to me. And I let him know how much I love him and of course lust after him too ;) A house full of kids to raise then time to kick up our feet and enjoy them being grownups. When the old man is chasing me around in his walker....maybe we will talk about slowing down then? or not.
Yup it comes down to I cannot wait to grow older with him.
There have been so many times over the years I have been so thankful to have good healthcare. For example our $30,000 baby or the oldest whose ear is approaching probably $250-500,000. All pretty much covered 100%. But then look at my mother in law, I worry about her so much. She needs a medical plan. But she needs something that will cover all of her needs and falls within her price range. That can be so hard. I mean look at all of the options out there! They confuse even the best of us. I know she would definitely not be able to navigate them all. Vimo makes it pretty easy to find the plan that would best suit you. I also like that you can get reviews on doctors and dentists in your area. I will find that very useful should we have to move again.
draws closer I have the hardest time figuring out what to buy for who. I swear it is one of those things I get all caught up in the gift giving aspect of it all. Yes I truly love to give (I am sure this adds to my anxiety disorder lol). I found this Looney Tunes DVD site. You can put a DVD together with your favorite clips. Up to 20 on a DVD for about $25 Perfect for someone who say likes Marvin the Martian :) You can piece together all of those cartoons with that one character in it.
OK My oldest is from a near miss (aka a relationship that thank God didn't end up in marriage). My husband has been Dad to him since he was 2. But #1 sees his Biodad and talks to him etc. Last night #1 tried calling him (the biodad), on his cell, at work and at home. He left a message on each. No call back. So today I do some damage control I call his dad and say "hey Alex tried to call you last night. He left messages and was upset you didn't call. He has a question about girls he wanted to ask you about too" The ass said ok he gets home at what? 3? OK I will call him and talk to him yeah it is 6:30 now and no call. He needs to realize that a call more than every 2-3 weeks is necesary. UGH
Good news though DS just wanted some advice on how to slip a note into a girls backpack ;) he talked to DH and I and we helped him out. So he got some guy advice and a womans perspective as well.
DH mentioned to DS how we both got notes in our locker in school. It was at that point it dawned on me I never dated anyone I went to school with! lol So no, no locker notes for me. But to be honest I don't feel all that slighted (is that bad?) lol
#1 son goes in tomorrow morning bright and early to try-out for basketball. Since dh is taking my car because he has to leave for work at 4am, a co-worker of dh's is taking #1 son to his school to be there at 6am. #1 son had to barter chores ;) but he got a ride in. Anyway I love my son I do but he is not the most coordinated boy in the world. But I really hope he makes the team :)
That show on A&E called intervention? It is an interesting show dealing with addicts. Everything from herion, alcohol to painkillers. There was also a show on one of those touchy feely type shows... Dr. Phil I think about the Mom in the suburbs who had a painkiller addiction. What I don't understand is how these people can afford to pick up and move into a residential treatment facility. Add in having a job, bills, KIDS... How can you be away for so long? Don't get me wrong I know that getting well is the main objective and that sometimes inpatient treatment is needed. But what about alternatives? Maybe drug detox at home? It seems like an interesting alternative. I don't know maybe something like that would work well for some people and they could get the best of all worlds. Getting well and being able to continue work and home life.
Well from time to time dh has to remind me that when he graduated high school I graduated too... from middle school. What a poophead ;) He is only 5 years older than I am. Heck is 4 years older for a few months ;) Good thing I love him or I may be offended
again! yet another piece to the elusive payperpostbluemonter puzzle. It has really got my curiosity now. What could it be? I am thinking blue monster?? Hmm maybe Sully from Monsters Inc? No no it is the distant cousin of the Blue Genie from the King of Cars! hahahaha Or seeing as how we are in Bigfoot country here. It is the very cold blue relative of Bigfoot. Ok Let's face it I may not have the best imagination here but I try! Let me tell you though how much I would love to put together the puzzle. Oh the things I could do with $500. Yeah buddy. Maybe some serious pampering for me. Massages, getting my hair and nails done. Ok here is the piece
I really do. The boys were at it again. #1 had #2 in a headlock. #2 wasn't innocent. His sarcastic wit gets him in trouble lol but what is hard about a battle of wits? they are both armed ;) just keep your hands to yourself.
Being a military family (OK I start too many posts off that way) anyway we are not living close to family. My Mom moved to Oregon and visits ENOUGH. But my mother in law lives farther away and she cannot visit. Unlike many people in the in law situation I love my mother in law and she is a GREAT grandma and loves the boys to bits. VoiceQuilt would be so perfect for her. One of these with the boys picture and the boys' voices for Christmas. She would be so happy. You just call in and make a recording and then online you can listen to the recordings and pick the perfect one for your box. What a neat idea.
I went to drop off twoguppies of ours (a donation) for DS#1's class. Which is fine because well let's face it I have oh about 50 of them! Then I am looking for DS#1 and he is nowhere to be found NOWHERE! the office calls the bus and the bus says he was on it . DUR No he wasn't. because as it was upsettedly getting in the car and driving back home the school called Turns out he was in the band room copying music. So much for him listening to "stay put"
Let's face it I am a big time kitchen appliance junkie. I have about everything under the sun. The thing is I use them all. I have tried a lot of things over the years. Making a true trial and error when it comes to kitchen appliances :) I would have liked however to have known what was the best or what worked the best BEFORE I bought appliance after appliance. It sure would have saved some time and money that is for sure! For instance I have "killed" three smoothie makers. What can I say I am a Jamba juice Junkie but would rather make them at home ;)
That I HAVE to go to bed tonight. I stayed up late last night working. I just simply took advantage of the insomnia ;) So I will try to wrap it up and snuggle in for the night
I am at the stage now where I need to decide. No nothing big or life shattering for those who get mad when I don't post a disclaimer ;P My hair. I cut off 14 inches of hair to donate last year. It is at the stage now I need to decide to grow it long again or keep it short. Is there an age where long hair is trying too hard to be/look young? I don't know. Damn girly stuff. We should come with a manual because even I don't get it
As we are getting a little older we are appreciating the more simple things in life I guess you could say. We love spending time at home (though yes the travel bug has bit and continues to bite me). When we were at the fair we looked at some hot tubs. Yes the impulse buys they want you to make at the fair hot tubs and house siding LOL We realized though there are A LOT of options. Brands, gadgets, features extras etc. It was nice to read the hot tub reviews here. Gives me a little more of an idea as to what to save up for :)
Yeah I looked at the calendar today. Which I realize I need to do MUCH more often. Anyway in a mere 3 days it is DH and my anniversary. Man I tell ya time flies when you are having fun ;) I am typing right now on my early anniversary present. We got each other laptops. He needs his for his school and travel, entertainment on travel (read : I may need to get him an external hard drive to hold his games lol) etc. I use mind for school and email. So I am thinking another year of low key celebration here at home :) Hey he wasn't home last year So this year is already better.
I had better go the baby got the dog treats and is making friends haha
OK both older kids are at school. The baby is STILL snoozing and I have some time to do homework. For a change the phone is not ringing off the hook! party on ;)
Yes YOU could be next!! If you are a postie on payperpost it could be you. Ed McMahon HAHA what are the chances he is showing up on your doorstep with a check. Yeah hell will be cold then won't it? Hahaha But if youare a postie on PPP they may be coming to YOUR house next! This video on the PPP blog is hillarious it really looks like they had a great time with the whole thing. BOTH PPP and the postie had a great time and then heck money SWEET bonus hahaha. I love how much fun they seemed to have with it all. They really need to get up to the PNW though hint hint.
I better get my house ready for company. If I am going to be next I better have a video worthy home!!
My lovely husband has to put on the Mr. Fix-it hat again. Hmmm I need to get him a toolbelt nude Mr. Fix-it with just a toolbelt haha Ok back on track here My dryer is acting up. A dryer that DID take a VERY short time to dry is taking FOREVER. He thinks he knows what it is and can take care of it. I hope so, I love this large capacity high efficiency washer and dryer. I just wish my dryer was working at its full high efficiency status WAH!
We didn't do was to get our boys baptised. We have said our marriage religious beliefs sound like the begining of an interesting joke. A non-practicing Catholic marries a Baptist... There are some really nice baptism invitations here on this site though.
OK well I found the Morale, Welfare and recration (MWR) is selling tickets for next month for Camelot with Michael York AND West Side Story in May! Camelot is out unfortunately due to the schedule with my husband leaving :( We will see. I may have to buy tickets to Disney on Ice though hehe
need a laugh. I am talking about the no thought just sit and laugh or sit and giggle like a schoolgirl (but quietly if you are a guy). What a better way than National Lampoon's?!?! You tell me more movies that are just good laughter for the soul type movies? So now they offer a National Lampoon DVD of the month club. If you like NL movies give the club a look see ;) They are offering a free DVD. But don't let that get around hehe
I am done for the night. I finished my unit in suffixes tonight! I scored an 84% I missed 3 because of misspellings UGH. My fault completely.
Now on to prefixes! I hope to finish it out tomorrow before I move onto root words. I have medical terms coming out of my ears but I am quickly falling back into studying and LEARNING. I do not feel like my brain is stagnant any longer. I think school and work are just what I needed. Don't get me wrong I LOVE my kids and I cherish each day with them but I need to be mentally stimulated.
Let me add I will now not do anything that requires thought or memory because I am taking my Abilify. The side effect I dislike so much is that memory loss.
I forgot! We looked at flooring today. The bamboo flooring for the kitchen, eat in area & living room area downstairs. For the color we like we are looking at about $1000 PRE install. I figure we can get the flooring and then work on getting a good installer to do the job. I do not think we are capable of doing it. OK we probably could but damn that would be a very expensive lesson to learn that we couldn't do it haha
Plagiocephaly. I am sure this is a word I will come accross in my transcription class at some point. But what is it you ask? It is "a deformity of the skull in which one side is more developed in the front, and the other side is more developed in the rear" Basically a flattening of a bbay's skull from sleeping on his back. Things have changed so much since I first had children. When #1 was born I think they had me put him on his side to sleep, #2 as well. And #3 was the whole back to sleep campaign. This baby gift is really neat. Now of course with the different sleep positions it helps combat that whole head flattening thing. This reminds me a lot of our mattress topper. Which I can attest to is SUPER comfortable. We looked at getting the miniman one of these types of things. But by the time I found the thing he was too old for it. Now if we happen to adopt an infant young enough. This sleep positioner will be quite the asset I am sure. they really do make a great gift for a new parent in my opinion. The other good points I found from poking around the site is that they use AAP approved materials. Plus the covers are easily removable and washable. ANY parent knows how inportant that is. I just wish they had extra covers too.
the oldest one that is. Talked to his father tonight on the phone. He told him he would like to spend summer here next year. When I asked him why after and reminded him we do not always travel and we are as boring then as we are now just the weather is warmer lol. His reply? "Boring? Oh yeah laughing all the time to where your guts hurt and having family time, soooo boring. You and Dad being all SICK and lovey dovey yeah boring. NOT At least you all aren't (insert his pantomime of arguing here) like my Dad and stepmom" The darn kid is trying to score points I think hahaha I told him his Dad may not go for it but he may be willing to split the Summer so he needs to maybe approach it that way :)
Ok let's face it folks I know nothing about playing cards. If I were to get invited to a nice friendly poker game I would lose my shirt ;) Well I could lose my shirt if we were playing strip poker har har. I seriously need to learn all of the ins and outs of poker. I know there are a few variations of the game. Texas hold 'em right? This site poker rules will let you know all the variations and give you all of the meanings of the words and slang used in the game as well. Now I am not advocating hitting the site and heading to Vegas and losing your shirt or anything. I do not want any mad soon to be ex wives yelling at me because I corrupted them or their husbands and ‘made’ them gamble ;) Just helping you kick some serious hiney when you are playing a friendly game with the neighbors and help you keep your shirt of course
I am laying in bed with my husband. All cuddled together. He then casually tells me, Hey hon? I want a divorce. I have found aother girl. She is cute and she is young. I will leave the house for you and I will pay the mortgage and bills" Let me say HEll THAT is fair. he continues "but I am not going to leave for another month or so. I still want to have sex and all if that is OK." I was flabbergasted. It was like a slap in the face. And then that is exactly what I did. slapped him in the face and ask him "How in the Hell are you throwing away 10 years and the kids for some little girl" His reply? "Well I like her more" I was heartbroken. sincerely devistated. Thoughts of how in the heck I was going to make it with myself and the kids flooded my mind. Panic set in. Then the worst hit me. I would have to date again!!!! Who in the world would want me. Talk about a package deal! I didn't know how to date. It had been a LONG time. I then thought of the shame of having to tell our families. I shot an email to my friend Michelle and told her everything. I called Scott and told him everything too. (the last two people I emailed last night) Then my MIL who sided with her son..... At this point, I woke up. Shot straight up in bed. Still feeling the panic and pain. I look over and touch my husband who is still there, still sleeping very peacfully. I calm down enough to go back tosleep. And I do. To go back to my husband leaving me. He is packing suitcases saying how that since I wasn't going to have sex with his while he was waiting on his girlfried that he may as well leave. He stops in our driveway near a bunch of broken down boxes. He swings his suitcase up like he is going to hit something. He says "I am going to put it out of it's misery" I yell "STOP!!!" I run over and there lies a bloody, severely injured German Shepherd. It looked like it got hit by a car. But it was still alive. I cussed my husband out for being a cold heartless SOB but I used some very sailoresque language. I told him to get the hell off of my property and gathered up this bleedinghelpless animal and took him into the house. Up run our two shepherds sniff the dog and do not leave his side. They guard him. I am in tears at this point. I try to find someone to call. I call 911. She says she will send over someone when they can get to it. I hang up the phone and look out the window and I see this ratty old van that is here to collect the dog. They are taking him to the petcemetary. But he isn't dead I shout! I tell the guy to leave. I try to look up our local animal shelter and I try to type in the search, on dh's laptop each key was replaced with not a letter but a girls picture! what an asshole not only did he leave me but he is now endangering this dog by messing with the computer. Now this dog is standing next to me. Doing a Shepherd LEAN. Those who do not have shepherds don't know this "I love you Lean" he pulls away and I am covered in blood. I finally get a vet they stitch up the dog and tada he is on the road to recovery. And then... RIIIIING I get my morning wake up call
Odd no???
I think the first time I woke up last night I may have asked dh is he was happy and if he were leaving me, I cannot for sure remember
Want to take a stab at interpretation of that sucker????
It is 10 am and the baby, hmm I guess he is more of a toddler now huh? well either way he just got up. I owe a BIG F.U. to the EM1 who called this morning to check the duty roster. The roster that dh shouldn't have been on. It wasn't the EM1's fault it was who put the list together and didn't take dh off but still the EM did call. It was before 7 am the butthead on a Saturday!
With the other piece. I told you all this was a puzzle so get to figuring this stuff out. Did you think it would be handed to you on a silver platter or something? FOOL. Put it together for that $500 opportunity fee. Here is another piece, piece 14 of the payperpostbluemonster! blog
all together. That is the goal of this whole thing. Get all of the puzzle pieces together and you could get paid a $500 opportunity fee! Holy Heck where do I sign up?!?! What are the puzzle peices for you ask? Well put them all together and it will give you a glimpse at a new super secret squirrel type PayPerPost program called The Blue Monster! Are you scared yet? hmm maybe excited? hehe The payperpostbluemonster be afraid be verrrrry afraid ;)blog
the logic in this one... you ready. My oldest son wears a hearing aid. He goes to see an ENT and an audiologist 4 or more times a year, and has a hearing test each appointment. They TEST his hearing at school and send hme a note telling me he has moderate/severe hearing loss. Umm DUH Gee I wouldn't have known if they hadn't told me! I better go get him into an audiologist and have his hearing tested or something
odd. You know it is NEVER good when people start out things that way! Anyway I gave my husband my ex's blog sites (an ex from 15 years ago?). The ex and I have been talking again for a little while. dh was reading through the blog and read something my ex, now referred to as my friend ;) wrote and said, "OMG this is YOU honey!" Sad thing is the quote he pointed out WAS something I said. I am predictible aren't I? Figures I always stick my foot in my mouth. I guess it is tasty!
Seems the boys LOVE to tap dance on Dads last nerve. We have a 9 days from being 12 year old boy who has a major talk back attitude. We, dh and I , have a different approach to it. A lot I just let go. The minor stuff eh it is a pick your battles type of thing. The major stuff yeah he will get my not so great side ;) But I guess it is a Dad and son thing? I don't know. Love 'em all to death but the backseat of the car thing and the talking back my last nerve is getting a workout.
I am fairly hmmmm liberal when it comes to how my kids wear their hair. As lon as grades are good, who cares if my son has blue hair. I mean this week my oldest went to school with a ohawk, spiked hair and then just 'flat' hair. It is FINE with me. A bit of self expression...go for it kid. I know my parents would have had a FIT and so would my husbands ...well his Dad at least. Anyway a couple of days ago my son gets tired of his hair and hair color. Today he is sporting a shaved head. Not in the skinhead kind of shaved but more in the he could pass as a Marine with a high and tight. He was disappointed to find out though that he has freckles on his head!!! Poor kid got my feet and my freckles lol You know though if I complained about and demanded his hair be short he would only want long hair. Sigh No matter what I tell him is OK, he will want the opposite but it is OK ;)
Part of the, I guess you could say challenge of being a military family is moving often. Part of that ‘adventure’ is also finding a place big enough for all of your ‘stuff’. We have living in so many different places having to try to fit everything in the new house and adjust for the new storage challenges. Heck look at our garage right now and you will see my issue, STORAGE. I have so many boxes from my dad’s bottle collection. His legacy he left me, bottles. Maybe somewhere they are worth something? But as of right now, here, they are taking up a lot of space! Self Storage Directory - Moving.bz has a comprehensive list of storage facilities in your area. You can search by city state or zip code. Perfect when you are moving to an unfamiliar area as well.
I was thinking about getting some canvans bags for grocery shopping. OMG the liberal tree huggers have invaded Gina's body RUUUUUUNNNNN!!!! No seriously the way the bags breed I am just tired of them and honestly we do not reuse that many so it is a waste. But get this. If I were to actually buy enough bags for a shopping trip, I would spend MORE than a typical shopping trip JUST on the bags! OK spending 2-4 weeks of grocery money on bag for the groceries you cannot afford because you bought the bags.... hmmm NO
these license plates all over the place up here . People have them on their European cars. the items from that website, Custom European License Plates, you can have customized to say just about anything. that could be fun haha. Or maybe a touch on the dangerous side hehe. If this is something you are looking for though this is a good resource.
Oh my gosh ME a vent. Yeah I know soooo rare (insert sarcasm alarm here). I am taking courses. I am taking courses to get my certification. It is something I can do where I will still be Mom first and foremost and in my spare (insert laugh track here) time I can work. Why do I need to work you ask? Well there are a couple of reasons. I do not think I contribute enough to the house. I mean I bring in a few hundred a month here and there but still. I need to actually contribute. Plus my dear husband is retiring in 3 years. Not sit on his ass wear knee high black socks, sandals, bremuda shorts and tropical shirts type of retirement but a "I did my 20 years in the military give me my retirement check and benifits Thank you very much" type of retirement. Yes he plans on getting a real grown up job. Yes he plans on working until actual retirement age, heck he will only be 39 when he leaves the Navy. OK off of him (haha ok I am dirty minded woman and don't think before I type). Back to me. He will retire and well I would like to have a cushion. I would like to know that if he happens to not get a job for a few months I could carry the family and provide for us. And OK God forbid, I am a realist, my husband does not have some ultra safe job. What if something happens to him? what if I am left to care for the kids (however many) on my own? Insurance takes it time as do the benies. And they don't last forever. My vent? Well I try to study 3x a day. Once in the morning which is SUPER hard with the kids going to school and then the baby gets up. so I study at nap time I put aside cleaning and study. And homework hour you would think I could study...but no mom is the one that ALWAYS gets interrupted. Not even anything important. UGH. I know I know a Mom's work is never done. But it is making me want a vacation or earplugs I cannot decide lol And with that #2 is in here staring at me so I have to go...
We all know that as parents we LOVE to share baby pictures. If you want to talk about baby photos, or are looking for informationon pregnancy or parenting you can find an extremely diverse wealth of information. It is great to find a place with like-minded individuals to bounce ideas off of or ask advice from. It is great to have that group of people to network with. Rate My Baby Pics is a good place to that too. You can enter your childs photos in monthly contests and can win prizes. Of course a big plus is that it is always free, never any charge. Heck if you are into baby modeling or pageants they have resources there for you too.
when my husband actually works at work. He comes home in a much better mood. Him sitting there doing nothing is just not his personality. He needs to be challenged. Gosh sounds like I am talking about the 'special' kid in the classroom lol But when he is actualy doing what he is trained to do he is a much happier man.
He was saying the other night how he cannot wait to get underway again. At first I was a little pissed and a little hurt. but he said it has nothing to do with us it is all about him actually WORKING. I can understand. Plus we all know a sailor belongs at sea.
I just wonder what in the heck he is going to do when the Navy is not a part of our lives any more. 3 more years and he will be in the civilian sector. Maybe he will get something where he travels occasionaly? Hopefully he won't get sick of being at home with the family. Though I do need to say we are NEVER boring. Ahhh the worries of a military spouse when it comes to retirement. We have handled MUCH time apart. No problem. Will we get sick of one another? Will the decade plus we have been together be all for nothing because we fall apart? UGH I have three years to worry about this right?
Maybe another marriage workshop weekend would be good for us. Heck I know getting away for a night would do ME wonders. A reconnect is greatly needed IMO
talking about the two younger boys and I heading to Florida for Christmas. Not for the sunny weather or anything but as a meeting spot for us and dh for the holidays. I firgure Disneyworld would be fairly empty that time of year too. But with us trying to NOT add any charges to our credit cards I cannot see us being able to go this year. We were planning on doing all of the local attractions. Disneyworld, OK I have been to Disneyland ummm a million times. But with all of the different areas in Disneyworld I could spend a lot of time going through each and every part and of course the rides! I remember going on all of the cool little rides for the first time with my two older boys. I cannot wait to take the miniman and our other children! So you all go for Florida Holidays and tell me about it would you?
Taking a loan from our 401K to pay off credit card debt, to prepare for our refinance and car loan great. Wanting to ALSO buy a TV because you are getting older as is your TV and it is a touch too dark to see right not great but fun. Wanting a freezer to have a place to stock my trips to the butcher, and our growing family ....sensible (right??). Wanting a shed to put the bikes and yard tools etc is also sensible right? I think I am trying to talk myself out of it. Dropping about 2500 at Sears (maybe I could get most at the exchange less expensive) in one stop, is kind of scary I suppose. But again kind of fun... but don't tell my husband. He doesn't know I like to spend $ lol
Well I have often said how he plays trombone for his school band. Both in intermediate AND stage band. First chair I might add (again). All of the kids have to wear black slacks, or sjirts for the girls, and a white shirt (or blouse). They however are given a little leeway to express themsevles with their ties! We have forever been looking for some ties that fit the big mans personality. Tie guys has several we are getting for #1 son. The first one that made me giddy, a trombone tie!! A Christmas tie, a wolf (his second favorite animal) and a really cool smiley face tie. He will be giddy to get these. I am STILL searching for a dragon tie (hint to anyone out there!) but these others will add quite the variety to his band wardrobe!
guess I should catch some Z's Homework hour worked out really well. I got about 3 hours out of it though. My husband has to think of a topic for his paper for English. I am trudging through medical terminology. I am just on the A-M right now but I do have a test coming up soon. My oldest is making up for some mistakes. Mistakes = him thinking he does not need to turn in homework or classwork becausse he "gets it" Yeah NO My middle son has so little hemework it is so far from challenging. Mayber he can come hekp me with my work haha. I an trying to run the house in a semi organized way. For the day to day stuff anyway. I need to get things organized and then get someone in to make it sparkly :) I hear they hire nude housekeepers. LOL Yeah that would be funny as heck
Speaking of funny. Well maybe more irritated. This medicine helps when I need to get some sleep but I cannot remember what I sadi/saw or did for about 30 minutes before I go to sleep. I will watch a show on the DVR and delete it but I cannot remember what it was all about. Then I am mad I didn't keep the darn thing OK rambling done sleep is calling
car search I have been looking at about every make and model out there. I started to look at the Audi's also. OK I know I am looking for some extras for my vehicle. A DVD system, CD changer, and navigation system I would also like a satellite radio system would be peachy keen too ;) But get this, The A6 and A8 can be equipped with... BULLET PROOFING! Hahaha what a protection against road rage eh? I like the lines and styles of the Audi's. If I didn't have children ok such a "large" family I could see myself in one of those new luxury cars. But I could probably get away without bullet proofing ;)
How do I despise thee? Let me count the ways. Or rather the years of terrible school portraits. My boys, love them to bits I really do. They take some great pictures when I am snapping pictures or we go out to say The Picture People. But let them leave this house on school picture day.....and I end up with something like so...
nice enough you say? Well aside from somehow his teeth look like he is a pack a day smoker... Take a closer look. OK another hint? Look at the shirt.
Yup it is misbuttoned! How do they pass the photagraphers helper with something like that? How does the photographer NOT see how terrible this looks? Or do they have some sort of wall of shame with bad pictures? Trust me I am not mad. I am laughing at the whole thing.
A good deep clean is what this house needs! I have been going through EVERY nook and cranny to get things squared away. I think getting a 'professional' to come in and do a GOOD deep clean would be just what the doctor ordered! I am thinking over the Christmas break would be perfect. Hmm Maybe early next month. It would help get the living areas and bathrooms in tip top shape. Hmm I do believe I am off to do some pricing through some reputable companies.
Anybody wondering what to get us for Christmas...there ya go!! lol
HAHA well we all know the one thing holding me back from being DONE with shopping for DS#3 is finding that elusive TMX Elmo. I had NO clue there were two versions of the darn thing. Not that I really care all that much. I just think the darn this is HILLARIOUS! Watch the video on the link above. I think it is so funny. OK OK after the kid plays it the first ,oh, thousand times it would get old haha. I know I refer to Elmo affectionately as "that annoying red bugger" but hey it makes the baby happy and giggle ;)
come to an agreement on what we are willing to take on when it comes to adopting. We are still in the air as far as fostering goes. We have decided that adopting an older child with younger siblings would be OK. If we had a complete home study at the moment there is a sibling group with a 16y/o girl and a 5 and 3 y/o boy we would inquire about. Who knows though. Who knows what will be available to us when we are licensed and approved. I tell you, what an adventure!
Well as most of you know we live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest (PNW). The area is spectacular. I never thought I could like an area so much. This state has so much to offer too. So many different areas have their own unique draws. Kirkland is a nice area. The Kirkland marina is very pretty and may I add a great place for pictures, especially sunsets! You are pretty close to Seattle. Not to mention there is a great Sushi place there lol. The real Estate market though. well it has evened out a bit but having the right agent and someone who is on top of the market is such an asset. Trust me we lost out on a few homes by waiting a DAY to think about it! The median income for the area is a touch over 60K. The population of the area is about hmm I think around 70,000. Which is not a bad size for this area. Not too big to make it ‘too much’ yet big enough everything is there in town. I would think if my husband were to get a job in the area Kirkland may be an area we would check out. If you are looking for a home in the area check out Kirkland real estate agents. By the way. While Starbucks was started up here… you must try some of the little local coffee places. They are GREAT!
Things here, well we are trying to set into a routine. I ended up getting dinner on the table late so homework hour ended up being chore hours because I was an hour late! I feel so so guilty. I ended up getting my hour of coursework done. Once dinner is over and the dishes are in the washer I am done. Everyone here does their part and the kids get to do counter, sinks and the table. Anyway so I handed the baby off to hubby (the baby was still eating) and I headed upstairs for my work. Everyone else took about an hour to finish. UGH. tomorrow I will be working harder to get things done on time.
Well it is many things but right now I will touch on the fact that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Anyone who knows me knows how near and dear I hold this cause to my heart. As a woman, or even as someone who loves a woman you should know how important breast cancer awareness is. I lost an aunt to breast cancer and a few women in my family have had 'scares' (lumps removed etc.). The most inspiring though are stories of breast cancer survivors I would suggest reading about this womans journey
unit down. I am now working on my medical terminology. Latin LOVELY! lol good thing I like it! ;) I may dream of little men in white coats mumbling in Latin. Or maybe it is the little men in white coats will come and take me away?? I can never remember :p
OK this will help the issues of tackling the 'take care of your animals or they go'. A Mojito!! LOL I kid! BUT They are so good. A bit of work but so worth it ;) I should get a mojito set to keep up in the cabinet.
OK I can see it now, a mojito and a cuban sandwhich a lounge chair... ah living the life ;)
I have to have 'the talk' with my middle son. No not THAT talk. We have covered that (and will continue to), but rather the talk that if he cannot take care of his guinea pigs and rabbit I have to find them a new home. Not that I do not love them to bits BUT They are not getting fed or watered. Heck he doesn't even have to clean their cage!! I do that! Just feed them, water them and pick up anything they may kick out of their cage. And none of it is getting done. It is a sanitation issue. Not to mention my sanity. wish me luck
the season to be thinking about Halloween costumes. My olldset son has a common theme EVERY year. A Ninja! Maybe it is the Asian influence who knows. I could post Halloween pictures from the time he was 4 and I think every other year he was a Ninja. Now the colors did vary haha. Blue one year read another etc. This site has ninja costumes That would last through a couple of years at least. I could get the costume, the hood, the mask, the boots, weapon etc from this place. And shipping is an awesome rate ($2.95) and they have been in business since 1999. Sound slike a winner to me!
bad that I think it is cute that dh talks to himself when he is doing exceptionaly hard homework? Well at least homework that requires him to put more thought than normal into it haha. He is doing his C programming (I believe) homework. And there is a whole lot of mumbling going on ;) Wonder if I could distract him mwahahahaha
Well we, as in dh and I, still have so much to discuss. I am hoping by the time we finish the pre adoption classes we will have decided for sure. We are hoping for a sibling pair. Both boys or both girls. The youngest is as young as an infant the oldest as old but not older than our middle son who is 8 years old. Pretty simple right? yeah no not really. What about psychological disabilities? Physical? They consider wearing glasses a disability! Hearing loss a disability. Ummmm yeah I deal with that daily. ADHD, ODD, OCD etc are HARD to deal with I would prefer not to have to. But a mild case? I am not sure. Maybe my answer is mild delays? Mental and physical. But some physical things are considered major but can EASILY be corrected with surgery. So would physical be a mild but "it depends" if it can be surgically corrected? That sounds so.... hmm picky I guess. Our next hurdle of discussion. Will we foster at all? The state is desperate for foster parents. If we adopt 2 more children that will put as at 5 children. A foster license in this state is good for 6 children under 18 including your own. We could foster one child. Maybe open to foster a year or younger? That would definitely cure my baby itch haha. I almost think it is easier to wonder 'pink or blue'. And heck you don't have to be licensed to have a biological child lol
Money laundering scheme. The feds have been wondering who the mastermind behind this scheme is, well the multiple schemes. I am not sure I should reveal it though. Well not here in this type of forum. I am almost positive there is some reward for turning this person in. Since I trust you all though I will tell you who it is. It is Ted Murphy! I know I know the PPP guy? YES it is him! It is all an underhanded scheme getting us all to put ads on blogs get money into our PayPal accounts and THEN trick us out of that money by claiming to be some Nigerian banker with some large account for us if we only send them.... Yeah yeah likely story
Scene it. What a blast!! We played the game this afternoon for family time. It was really fun. Of course I may be a bit biased because I won hehehe. With #2 and I being so big into the books and all of us being into the movies it is the perfect game :)
are always asking what the best digital camea is. I am no expert. I do however know how much I really like my Sony cybershot. I also know how much I would like other cameras out there. Much more professional style. Go here for digital camera reviews PREFECT for side by side reviews. Great for people who want to know what camera is best for them. Now to cinvince my husband that I need a camera update HAHAHAHA yeah right
conflicts!!! Turns out my dear lovely husband also has homework that he has to do tomorrow. I have to take a backseat to his stuff. Sometimes yes it does tick me off a little bit. But I understand. I also am the one who pushed him to get his degree so I cannot complain too much. But I will have nap time and of course early morning if I get up early enough.
Ok I was asked if I had one home improvement">I could make, and money were no object, what would I do? The answer is simple, a kitchen addition and improvement!! I love my house. For a 'starter house' it is decent sized, 4 bedrooms 2-1/2 baths two stories a nice back and front yard. My kitchen though is one place where I compromised. I love to cook I truly feel that whether it is for family time or entertainment it always seems to end up in the kitchen. I would build an addition to the house extending the kitchen. Add all of the latest and greatest appliances and fixtures. Marble counters and tile or bamboo floors (I haven't decided) ahhh a dream
I finished my first unit in school. I got an 85% on one test and 100% on the other. OK OK it was just the orientation unit but it is a way to get my feet wet! I hope I can have a couple of alone time hours tomorrow to finish the second course. hint hint to the husband type person who occasionaly reads this blog ;)
OFF!! I do not know why I do this to myself. But I am sitting here watching Animal Cops on Aminal Planet. People on this show make me SOOO mad. How in the world people can treat animals like that is beyond me. Then again people do not treat people any better sometimes do they? I will have to hug our two rescues, and out old man Taz tonight and the boys too while I am at it ;)
payPerPost, evil or no? Well you know it is all about choices. I choose what I post about and you all know some of my posts are 'advertisements' however what I post is completely up to me. I do not consider what I post to be SPAM either. Before PPP I would post links to things I found useful now I just get paid for it haha. So it is a good for all involved thing in my opinion. I am glad there is PPP out there. What a perfect way for bloggers and businesses to meet, blog advertising. So kudos to you PPP for tapping into one heck of a resource.
Officially, on paper that is, save your life should I choose to. I am certified in adul/child/infant CPR. First aid and blood born pathogens. Now let me tell you now, it sounds more exciting than it actually was. However with getting some good sleep I was able to be actually attentive in class :) Now I will have to whip up some cornbread to finish up dinner. DH was nice enough to throw everything into the crockpot for me today. Though I do ask myself WHY I choose to make chili in a house full of guys. Some people never learn I suppose.
Dh and I have talked about renewing our vows for our 10 year anniversary. Though with as rapidly as it is approaching, maybe for our 15th then haha. I saw some great wedding invitations. I will have to keep these in mind ;)
you will miss me ;) I am off to my classes today. I will be home tonight. Leaving dh with all three kids hahaha I hope all is well when I get home. They really seem to put him through his paces :)
I have to come up with a company name. When I am done with all the training I will be good to go and take the test for certification. So I can carry CMT behind my name. I am going to need my stationary and business cards, something to make my business known. ]My only idea is G4A But that doesn't seem professional enough. I think a tag of will type naked would not be to best approach either Anyway have any ideas? Seriously send them to me. I am at an impass.
I cannot wait to be done with my schooling so I can get to work. I have had a bit of Mommy guilt, I guess, over not providing for my family financially. My husband will always say I provide more than money could ever buy. You know how weird it is to buy HIM a Christmas, anniversary or birthday present with HIS money?!?!?! True I take on some side jobs here and there but it just isn't enough. Until then though what do I do? I found this Mommy's Work At Home Jobs I think I will give them a try! I wonder how many irons I can have in the fire before the house burns down haha
Was a hit. Miniman ate a TON. He loves chicken parm :) He ate more chicken than I did! Plus we ate a loaf of bread I made. Well not the whole loaf lol. Now one kiddo is getting into everything, one is putting away dishes and the middle one is STILL eating. This means he will be going through another growth spurt. Lord help us all. Heck as it is now he is only 4 inches shorter than his older brother (who is 4 years older). I have got to get some sleep tonight I have my class tomorrow. I still have a lot to do. I got all of my school books today too. Talk about a lot of books! holy moly We are setting up a homework/reading hour. So I can have an hour in the morning before everyone gets up and an hour after dinner. So I will have two hours for courses a day. DH will have time for his work and well the boys will just have to do their homework or read a book. We just got a call from DS#2's Spanish teacher called. #2 forgot to go to class after school today and just got on the bus lol. Talk about getting into routine lol
The queen of useless trivia? Well ok maybe I do hold that title. I know a little about everything it seems. Heck put my husband and I together and we can kick some serious trivia arse! However there is so much out there left to learn so much that amazes me. All of these little tidbits out there. Especially ones that make you say “No way!!”. I found this blog that has daily topics and lists a bunch of little trivia and interesting facts. It has posts categorized by topic really easy to find something that may interest you. You will have more odd factoids than you know what to do with hahaha Do I hear trivial pursuit calling my name?
aggression?? make something where you have to pound out meat! lol It feels great to take that mallet and pound a piece of chicken out. OK back to finish up my chicken parmesean
Well we have been batting around what to do with the flooring downstairs. With as high traffic as it is down there we need something that will stand up to the wear and tear. We have talked about getting wood flooring. NOT laminate flooring. Then I learned about Bamboo flooring. Not to sound all tree hugging hippie like, but bamboo flooring is a replenish able resource and is very sturdy. Not to mention beautiful. So I think I have DH talked into it. Now to measure out how much square footage we have to replace.
Well miniman is fighting sleep again. No naps and very little sleep. he is a cranky butt. He will scream when you put him to bed refusing to sleep. I went in tonight and laid down with him for a little bit. He was content with that. As soon as I left he broke down again Now dh is in there with him now.
He (Grady) is not feeling well he is all congested and cutting his last few teeth. Poor thing. I feel for him I really do :(
That my search for a dog back pack returned more hits for back packs to CARRY your dog in than back packs FOR your dog? Are people that pampaering of their dogs they CARRY them everywhere. I thought dogs liked to walk? lol
All I want is to get some back packs for my dogs for both traingin purposes and for hiking etc. I sure as hell do NOT want to carry Gunther on my back!!
You have got to be kidding. OK I have some loves I make known. Loves I shout to the world. No not that kind of ‘love’. But like my love for the Dyson vacuum cleaners.
Seriously I love My Dyson Animal. I actually like to vacuum and do not want to launch it on a regular basis ;) Get this The maker of the Dyson, James Dyson (wonder where he got the name for the vacuum hehe) Has announced the creation of Dyson Airblade hand drier' It will apparently dry your hands COMPLETELY in mere seconds, 10 to be exact and uses 83% less energy. Does this mean that I won’t leave the bathroom in frustration with still wet hands again? This will be so darn cool. Now how do we convince EVERY rest area across America to put them in their restrooms? Those restrooms, that is a whole other vent I will touch on later!
No?? snivle a little? I was cleaning off the top of my dear husbands computer armoire... I knocked off one of my snoglobes!! It fell with a resounding crash/shatter!! WAAAAAHHH It was one the kids got me from the San Francisco Music box company too. Sigh Oh well nothing I can do about it now. Just mad, it has made it through 4 moves and I break it dusting!
I love to cook. Good thing in this house too ;) Plus people who know me, when they ask for a recipe I will give them a recipe and probably a few links to follow that up with. I have been tagged with the title of link queen haha. I also have a computer program that stores my recipes and I can print them out and a shopping list to go with it!! OK this is all great for my OCD list making!! There are times though where I only have a few things in the house and I wonder what in the world I can whip up with those ingredients. Ahh I found my solution! RecipeMatcher. Just plug in what you have and tada! A solution.
My youngest is following in the footsteps of my middle son. He LOVES a variety of food and will not eat the same thing 2 days in a row. Well Some fruits but yeah that is it. You can serve him the same thing but it has to be spaced out a couple of days. He also has very distinctive tastes. He likes cheese, but won't eat velveeta or sliced packaged cheese haha. A good German Smoked cheese? He is ALL over it. I make him a grilled cheese and it had BETTER be with whole grain or sourdough bread and it better be shredded sharp cheddar or swiss cheese. Monday for Breakfast a slice of toast with peanut butter, a half sliced apple and some yogurt Tuesday yogurt burst cheerios, 1/2 an orange and a piece of cheese wednesday 2 scrambled eggs (with a splash of milk ,pepper and garlic-the only way he will eat them) 1/2 an English muffin and pears Today oatmeal It is like I work in a cafeteria or something!
With the news the other day and the market closing at an all time high. Plus the fact I filed all of our stock information. Got me to thinking that I really do not keep close enough track of what our stocks are worth. I have some stock that I got when I was born. It has split a few times and I am ashamed to not only say I have no clue of their worth but I don't know how many I have! The three boys eash have 10-12 shares in three different companies. Do I know how much they made since their initial investment? no This site Free stocks data from around the world has about everything I need in one place to keep track of everything.
I am officially brainwashed by the military!!! I have no identity even self identity. I was asked to enter my social security number for some of my financial stuff. I couldn't figure out why it kept being rejected. DUH because I was entering my husbands SSN!!!!!
Three times fast! Mesothelioma! My middle son wanted to know everything about it ever since he heard them mention it on tv. Do you know one time we went to the doctor because he was sick, the one thing he said? "Dr. I know it isn't Mesothelioma" LMAO
NOT!! I am getting all of our papers into the proper files in a new file cabinet. Talk about tedious!!! You do not realize how many 'records' you keep until you organize them and not just toss them into a drawer. Sanity.... is slipping away..... heeeelllllpppppp
First my unsolicted plug for my most favorite butcher shop EVER ;) Silvana Meats. We have a butcher shop closer BUT I love the customer service SO much better at Silvana. Well Grady and I went in, they gave him his favorite jalepeno meat stick. I told you they spoil him. I also ordered our turkey for Thanksgiving. It is am AWESOME tasting turkey, organic free range and all that. But I think it is also the freshness that cinches it! I ordered a pig too. No not some bacon or a roast a WHOLE pig! lol They cut and wrap to my specifications and may I add some of the BEST sausage and bacon I have ever had. I normaly order 1/2 pig now we are ordering a whole. I will be moving up to a half a cow next year instead of a 1/4 too. Growing boys, adding to the family= me having to be more prepared. I also have to buy a new big freezer. That is on my wish list and I should be able to get it while hubby is gone, we will see though. The one I want is $800! yeowch.THIS is the one I want. The last freezer we bought that is still VERY functional was when DH and I got married haha. It was bought with a giftcard from Sears we got for a wedding gift. But it was perfect for the family of 3-4 we had at the time. Now we are 5 and soon growing (we hope).
I have to go out to the fruit stand today. I forgot Carrots yesterday! wah! I need them for my blask eyed pea and sausage soup. I think I will make some parmesean rolls too. Simple yeast rolls with some add ins. YUMMY homemade goodness :p
Our TSP (military's 401K) loan is paid off. Woohoo Hmm lets see, what else? Not too much to be honest. I know there was something else I wanted to write but I have been interrupted umpteen times while trying to write this so I forgot haha
phone service options is so hard to keep up with. Vonage, aside from commercials that invade my brain and have me humming that song (lol) has made a lot of changes and improvements lately. This Vonage Forum has a lot of info everything from new to reviews etc. Something that will help if you are considering making the switch yourself.
Schedule. Let's face it. Living the life I do with a husband in the Navy, whose schedule is, to say the least unpredictible I love schedules and lists. Honestly look at my frige right now there are two papers. One has my daily 'chore' list one is this weeks menu. Lists and schedules. I even have a file on my desktop that is called "obsessive lists". I may be trying to control the uncontrollable but you know that is a bit too much like psychology so I will stop now. I just got all of my financing and everything through to start my classes (Medical transcription for those who did not know). It is all self paced so I need to make the time to get it done. So hmm when? I could stop taking my Ambien and pull all nighters for a week, then sleep then school for a week HAHAHA yeah NOT. So I need to try my damndest to make a schedule and stick to it. While I have things in the day that I schedule to do I do not have a time schedule. I guess I need to get myself into a routine. If I HAVE to anyway. OK OK I know I will I will have to because when it comes to actual clients I will schedule work in as well. Ugh HELP
My husband and I were looking to do some things to earn a bit of cash on the side here and there (G rated folks honest!). He added adsense to his blog. I thought, great idea! I will try it too. Not only has he had NO return or potential profits from his adsense link, but because he and I share an IP address they will not let me add one to my blog! how messed up is that? What a pain I tell you. So far with me using payPerPost I have had a lot of opportunity to make money , almost $50! That is from the 29th of Sept! Hmm let's compare that to the $0 my husband has made.... I think my choice has been clear at least ;) I think there is so much more potential out there than Adsense offers. But that is just this girls opinion.
at dinner my oldest says he has been thinking a lot about the adoption. Well the whole process honestly. I had told him before the social worker will more than likely ask him some questions about the family and what he felt about the adoption. I left it at that. Today the conversation goes like this
#1:Mom, what will they ask me? Me: WHO? #1: the adoption people Me: Oh well I am not sure. They will probably ask you how you feel about our family adopting #1: I will tell them I think it is great. But it may be a hard time adjusting because it takes time to get used to each other. But family is family. Me: Good answer -and a side note convo to dh- That sounds SOO coached they will think we told him what to say #1:what else will they ask? Me: probably about our family and discipline and punishments etc. #1: Oh I will tell them our family is fun, crazy but in a good way, we have fun family dinners together and we talk about stuff and we do alot of fun things. Me: really? hmm what about punishment? #1: Oh I will say we are rarely ever punished (I almost choked on my taco at that point) and that everything is for a reason because you want me to grow up and be a successful, productive happy adult (NO KIDDING HE said that!!) Me: (as I am wide eyed in amazement) really?!?!?! GREAT answer kid (to dh) Oh yeah they are going to deny us for sure thinking we brainwashed them
Oh dear Dyson, how do I love the? Let me count the ways. Seriously I never thought I would love a vacuum as much as I do my Dyson. For that matter I never thought I would spend as much money as as I did on a vacuum. However let me say it was worth EVERY single penny. We all know I have a house that is, to say the very least busy. With three boys and their friends tracking in Lord knows what and three dogs who shed so much it is a wonder they are not bald! My Dyson stands up to the challenge and then some! No matter How much dog hair my lovely mutts leave behind the vaccum NEVER looses power. I Love my vacuum I really do. We are so rough on vacuums that after a year the vacuum would start to peter out. The only drawback was going to the store with kiddos in tow and trying to wrangle both a baby and a large vacuum box. Again the benefits of online shopping! lol Especially if you can get good discounts too. discount vacuum cleaners
You know what though? I wish I could talk dh into getting me a Roomba. I need to be a pampered housewife right?
But we all knew that didn't we? haha I am headed to the commiscary (aka commissary) I have to pick up some things for the house...oh woe is me my pantry is bare (well some things) I am also swinging by the butcher shop. I feel like making some black eyed pea and andoulie soup and some chicken Parm this week. they will be happy I have Grady with me. They LOVE him there and spoil him ROTTEN. He knows it too and loves it.
Also a swing by the fruit stand for some fresh veggies and I am good for the day ;)
Of you who took me up on the Payperpost opportunity (thank you I know you will love it) I would like to remind you to check out advertise on blogs The PPP blog! Keep up on the goings on with PPP. Lots of changes going on right now. A LOT to try to keep on trust me! Plus you can keep up to date with site issues, slow downs maintinence etc. I seem to check it each time PPP sends me an email letting me know a post was approved (which is quickly!). I swing by and see what is new.
He got a taste of the utter hell I am going through with all three kids in the car. We have a Mazda Tribute. Though 5 years older ;) It worked OK when we had two kids it was even passable when Grady was in the center rear facing in his carseat and the two older were a little smaller. Now The two oldest have grown. The oldest has grown UP and out- filling out. My middle son has grown up (only 4 inches shorter than his oldest brother). Add to that they sit elbow to elbow and both have personal space issues. #1 doesn't understand or respect it and #2 DEMANDS it. They bicker and poke and bicker and whine and bicker and prod and bicker... did I say Bicker??? The baby however was the best behaved! Only occasionaly trying to rip off #2's glasses to irk him. Yesterday by the time we went from SEATAC To about a mile from downtown my dear Husband (dh) was about to pull out what little hair he does have!! It is getting old and QUICK I do not want to take all of them anywhere together. It is a stressful thing to do. I learned that the Toyots Sienna is coming out with a hybrid!! It chould be out late next year. But you know what??? We HAVE to buy a bigger car before then, as much as I didn't want to. Get a used van. One in good enough shape to get me to and from for the year until I can get a new car. Otherwise I will strap one child to the roofrack and one to the bumper and call it a day. So take out a small loan to pay for a used car and save my sanity. While some may argue it is worth saving. If I had $4k right now there is a van here on the island that would work. OK car whine over. Hmmm maybe soe rich person will read this, take pity on me and a new (or heck even used) car will show up in my driveway. Or maybe my Dad DID leave some life insurance policy and I am a beneficiary and it has just taken a few years to be setteled HAHAHAHA yeah riiiiiight
I signed both dh and I up for the CPR, First aid and blood born pathogens classes we will need for our licensing. Mine will hopefully be this weekend. DH will go on the 28th. But the best part... they are FREE!!!! WOOHOO that saves us at least $100. And we are one step closer to being ready. Now to get dh all of his background check, TB test and physical things done before he leaves for Virginia for school! And of course hope I do not forget anything so I do not have to try to coordinate things between two coasts. And by the time he gets home... We will be good to go!

This afternoon I will be headed to the airport to pick-up.....my husband WOOHOO home two weeks early! heck yeah! He wants me to pick somewhere to go out to dinner. I know he is trying to be nice saving me the 'hassle' of making dinner. But eh. I am not really in the mood. I think I will just make dinner at home. He will have to live with it ;) homemade dinner from his loving wife... Poor man
Checks checks checks. I swear bill paying is getting on my last nerve sometimes. I would prefer to pay everything through my bank but some places are all backwards. Not to mention the boys’ schools, school lunches, PTA, PTO, book fairs and the like. I don’t like the typical checks we get from the bank. The plain ones and all. I have used some character themed ones before Spongebob and all. I have found some various site on the web that have had different designs. I found this one place that has some pretty cool designs and some decent deals too. These designs are cool Career Designs or Americana, Cartoon and also Children . There are a lot of varieties You can always check them out here Order Personal Checks
You know I am not going to be an idiot like some out there (soory folks). I will not be spending more than retail for the darn thing. No way no how. Some people are paying a couple of hundred on Ebay already!! Holy hell people it is a T-O-Y. If all else fails I will get it at an after Christmas sale for Grady's birthday in February!! :p Plus does anyone know if it comes with earplugs??
Well I have officially started my Christmas shopping. Let me tell you something, toting 3 kids out to the store (or even just the baby) is so very overrated! Ok first of all I find all of the good deals for that perfect gift ONLY when I have the child with me! UGH how frustrating. I think I am going to go go to completely shopping online! Add onto that the fact that there are coupon codes I can use out there for online merchants... SCORE! Like Target Coupon codes are a big time woohoo for me! 10% off of my whole order :) Now to find that blasted new tickle me Elmo (that annoying red little bugger! haha)
Here I am now... The mother to three boys. I guess you could say I am the queen of this household. True at times there is an overload of testosterone and fart humor...but I muddle through well enough hehe. I am spoiled too, there is no lack of gentlemen opening doors, car doors etc... of course that balances out with no lack of bad aim in the bathroom!
My three boys... Alex the artistic dreamer, Gary III the perfectionist and authoritarian, Grady a daredevil in diapers!
Are there more children in the future? We certainly hope so...more boys? well that would be a joy :) A girl well she would have no chance with three older big strapping brothers looking over her!
I am a stay at home mom. I work more now than I did when I held a "real" job. Hubby is in the Navy. I cannot convey how proud I am of him. He is truly the man of my dreams and a better husband than I ever thought I deserved.
Well that is the general overview of me ;) enjoy the blog. Don't know something? want to know? ASK. I love comments to my ramblings too.
